Oh mannnnn you have the Black Beast of ARRAHHGHGHHHHHGGH!!! Where did you find it!
Love the freakin' Swine Flu hahahhaha! I think I saw the diseases for sale at JFK airport in one of the stores there.
hey, is there anything good on tv tonight?
Hey, did I mention that I'm on The Big Bang Theory tonight? I didn't? That's weird. I could have sworn that I did. Well, allow me to just put this gentle reminder out there: Evil Wil Wheaton returns in "The 21-Second Excitation" at 8pm on CBS. And now, another hopefully amusing video, to help yo...

The graphic looks rather .... familiar... speaking of which: (I Twittered this to you but God knows if I sent it right!)
My boyfriend found that Dark Dungeons you were looking for - if you like he can scan it for you so you can see it again! Xerox works too.
He's got every last one of those things. The WHOLE series. He found them in an old box in his house bundled up. We read them on our last trip to his hometown. It was interesting to say the least. At any rate, let me know. Inbox me on Twitter or email me at askdarcie@hotmail.com

Oh man, I love this so much. (created by Patrick K.)
They did not give me a sticker or a pin but when I heard the news at roughly 10PM or so (I am too in awe to remember) they gave me something much more meaningful. Hope.
one lever, pulled.
My voting experience was quick and easy. I think I spent more time confirming my ballot was marked correctly than I spent waiting in line. I guess going in the middle of the morning will do that for you. I wasn't expecting it, but the historical significance of the moment totally overwhelmed ...
I am so elated by the fact that you diversify your work so much - it not only keeps it exciting for you, I am sure, but it's a really good example to those pursuing careers in the arts about maximizing the entire skillset radius. So awesome!!
I hope you sleep better. Getting the brain to chill out is so tough sometimes. Soemtimes it's as simple as the weight of the blankets that can keep me up at night - if they are too lightweight I cannot sleep as well. Weird. @ Wil's brain: NO songs and the temperature in the house is FINE!
i worked on naruto today
So I worked on Naruto today. I don't think I can say what character I voiced, or what the story was about, but I'm going to be in more than one episode, and it'll start in about a month. I'm recording again on Friday, and I'll ask then if I'm allowed to give up any details. I had to get up much ...

I am SUPER late on this post b/c my computer at home was acting up (or my ISP was) and I was not able to get the frackin thing to POST! ANYHOW....
The Jewish mother in me would recommend (doing a veg. version that is) the following:
A boiled soup with plenty of dill, garlic, onion, carrots, celery, thyme, a pinch of black pepper, salt to taste. You can use a vegetable bouillon cube to fatten it up a little bit. Warn the family you might smell a little after you eat this. You can add some black eyed peas in there or lentils to make it more of a meal, but definitely enough broth to clear out that junk.
As a singer, I also recommend drinking the following mixture to help relieve some of the pain (and you can first steam yourself by holding the cup under your nose and inhaling the vapors of this mixture slowly before sipping) OK - here it goes. It will NOT taste good:
In a mug of boiling water drop --
1 bag of Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger
1 bag of Celestial Seasonings Peppermint
1 regular (yellow bag, not sugar free) Ricola drop
and if you want, 1 licorice lozenge from Smith Brothers
The steam will feel good in your nose. Sipping slowly will feel good on your throat and may even help loosen the junk. It will NOT taste good. But it's helped me many a times and I used to be prone to NASTY upper respiratory infections.
I hope this helps! Though the ZPak will likely knock out that sinus evil quickly. This is more of a soothing and boosting remedy than anything else.
Lotsa love from Boston!

@ZiggyNJ where did you FIND a pair? I really want to get some - I live in Boston - BRRRRR!!!
eight year-old me has a new best friend
WWdN reader Cherish B. sent me this adorable story about her son and Happiest Days . It made the dad in me go "Awwwww" and the author in me go "Yay!" so I had to share: He looked at the pictures on the cover and asked, "Who's that?" "His name is Wil." "Oh! I like Wil. He's going to come over an...
Isn't it hysterical that we ALL still call them Footie Pajamas or Pajamas-wid-da-feet
hahhaa! Carters should just MARKET them as such.
That is the most awesome story ever. I love kids; can't wait to have them. They paint our lives in such a new way.

WOW!! Never saw you with a beard -- Works for you! I have to say I love the dichotomy of this picture - the rather intense expression posited against the book title :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAN! I am so crazy busy I forgot what day I was on. HAVE A GREAT ONE!!! Eat lots of cake and ice cream (or iced confection if you are vegan) and play and jump around (allowing some time to pass between the cake and the jumping) and have a darn good time!
AND.... Your listing of the lentils and kidney beans dinner plan - MMMMMMMM
I am a legume freak. I am not veg. but I might as well be - It's how I eat most of the time. My boyfriend is NOT such a bean and tofu fan - he's like "ahhhh Darcie food" when I present him with couscous and lentils dressed with a little olive oil, lemon juice, and basil with a big giant green salad on the side. :) He always ends up liking it....
hahah!

HI Wil! Congrats on ANOTHER book - how cool!!! I am wondering if you are going to do a live chat now and then - particularly for those of us authoring books - I am writing one on a topic that is kind of unexpected. As a music business consultant, everyone expects I will write a book for that! Maybe someday but there are a lot of music business info books so I don't feel so pressed :) I am writing a book called WHERE THE HUSKIES GO and it's about my life with my Sibes- kind of a hybrid memoir/helpful guide through storytelling for new or prospective Husky adopters.
I would be super interested in talking to you (or anyone else here) about independent routes (or more mainstream) publishing outlets and other helpful hints. I know your time is super precious but thought I'd ask anyhow!
bustin up my brains for the words
Did I mention that I'm writing a full-on science fiction novella that may even grow into a novel? It's a noir kinda thing, set in a dystopian future Los Angeles. (It's not Blade Runner. That's the first thing people think when I say it, but I'm keenly aware of that, and I've taken the appropriat...
I will be one species member who will always do my best!
My concern is this: there are a lot of conflicting guidelines about what is best for the environment... and what is good for landfill minimization may be less good for emissions problems and so on... I really hope that somebody (or a group of somebodies) can come up with a cogent book (or eBook!) on the pros and cons of each environmental decision so that we can determine how we can best help in our daily choices... for example ORGANIC EATING Pros/Cons, PLASTIC RECYCLING GUIDE and Pros/Cons to each method. You know of any resources like that? If so, please post them because I think a lot of people try to do things but then they learn that what they were doing may have been harmful. It's like eating eggs. Good for you... NO- BAAAAAAD BAAD! Oh, wait, no, .... not so bad. Hahha! I was SO freakin' annoyed when I separated out all my recycle items and then saw the town drop all those bins into the big regular garbage truck AAGHFFFHHFRRRRRMMP!!! Guess it all comes down to money... Ratfinks.

A. I love the fact that you were doing something as day-to-day as picking tomatoes in your yard- CLASSIC
B. There is no measure on how freaking amazing things can turn out by just being you :)
wil's big news of the day
I was picking tomatoes in my back yard yesterday afternoon when the phone rang. Caller ID said it was my manager. I picked it up and said, "Mister Black! What's up?" "Seth Macfarlane wants to work with you tomorrow," he said. The next thing I knew, I was looking into the concerned faces of my w...

You know you've spent a little too much time on the Internet when you're in Maui, taking pictures of a beautiful Sea Turtle, and the first thing you think is, "Oh man, I can't wait to LOLCat this when I get home!" This, my friends, is how my damaged brain works. I'm still on island time, both l...

Guava jelly sounds GOOD. I like the fact that you are taking your time getting back into the groove of the real world.

Rick Astley - where the heck is HE! I love Rick Astley and I am not ashamed! I almost FAINTED when I found David Glasper (from Breathe) on myspace and he put my band in his top friends at #2 - HOLY MOSES! Wow. You can't believe that feeling. Ok. I am going to stop. But seriously when I met my boyfriend James he and I had a great laugh when Rick Astley came on in the restaurant and he said "Wow. Rick Astley. Michael McDonald's voice, Howdy Doody's face" WOW. OMG. I kinda gave him a teasing what for on that one. I love and adore Rick Astley!... but that sh*t was funny.

Thanks for the late pass on this post - it's been a crazy week! OK this is super doof-a-licious but we didn't get to see SBM until it came onto video because we were too young at 12 and 10 to see it in the theater... Wah! So when it came to video AND I was finally able to convince my mom we should watch it it became iconic for my best friends and myself - in particular me and my friend Alex. A couple years later, she ended up moving to another town kind of far away and we had the whole summer before she was leaving (Hey - six towns away is FAR when you're 15!) So we ended up having what we STILL call the Stand By Me summer. We would listen almost exclusively to 50's music -notably the soundtrack, and reminiscing about our friendship and so on and so on. Her last day on our block, we drank Cokes in glass bottles and made a pact (it stuck - we're 34 and 32 - OK yes I just reminded all of us how old we are - and are still best friends). And this is the super geekiest of all - that night the sky looked like the blue faded huing in the poster for the film which we refer to (still) as the Stand by Me sky. I know this is super sentimental but I thought I should let you know about it anyhow. That film had such an impact. I honestly wonder if it took a group of boys coming of age to help unify friendships of girls coming of age??? I wonder if boys who watched that film took the same things away as we did?
This was super cool of you to post - particularly the process as a young person and actor that this role took you thru. You are so freakin' cool, man.
turns out this post is all about stand by me
I have to keep reminding myself that I can compose offline in ecto. Oh, related to that: I really like ecto, and feel comfortable endorsing it and recommending it to anyone who is looking for a full-featured offline editor for their blog. Anyway, I guess AMC ran Stand By Me on DVD TV last night....
Awesome!!! I hope that you are not reading this comment right now because you are on vacation and by the time you see this comment it's redundant old news!
