MABA Calls For Changes in Mortgage Application Process

MA Auction Announcements Drop July 2012
The number of auction announcements in Massachusetts declined in July 2012, The Warren Group reported September 17, 2012. Auction announcements declined 14 percent to 1,135 from 1,319 in July 2011. U.S. Homebuilders More Confident August 2012
Confidence among U.S. homebuilders climbed in August to the highest level in more than five years, affirming the improvement in residential construction, Bloomberg.com reported August 15, 2012. The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo builder confidence index rose to 37, higher than projected and the best rating since February 2007, the Washington-based group reported. The forecast in a Bloomberg survey of economists called for no change from July’s 35 rating; however, ratings below 50 mean more respondents said conditions were poor. Pending Home Sales in Massachusetts Increase for the 15th Straight Month
The number of single-family homes and condominiums put under agreement in Massachusetts were up again in July, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors reported August 14, 2012.
