My very favorite was the squirrel, but this one is pretty in a totally different way.

No, I tend to be the type that has too little cloth for whatever I'm making.

I don't crochet, but I knit. I want to learn because some patterns use both.

I used that fabric to make a stocking for my mom this Christmas!

I'm hoping to buy a crewel wool sample kit and make that up this summer. But I'm working on a laceweight stole for my grandmother and I'm going to keep at it, even if I have to unpick it every other row.

I'm going to work on lining and finishing my pieces better and I want to try beading my knitting (not exactly sewing, but still crafty).

I've never tried myself, but I have used wool felt before, its a very different type of fabric. I love the cupcake!

I made embroidered pillow cases for my grandma that were nice, but probably the best item I've made was an apron for my mom that included a pocket with my greatgrandma's recipe written by my grandmother, so it was multigenerational.

I've never done a swap before, but that would be fun.

I love patchwork, my grandma is an avid quilter, but I've never tried it myself. Maybe I'll try a patchwork yoke or something this summer.

Yes, I like hand sewing. I love embroidery and cross stitch, but I also like hand sewing the zippers and hems on my clothing (it gives a much neater finish).

I agree with Casey that beauty just for its own sake isn't a bad thing. I guess the reason I love vintage is because its unique (in a culture where everything is mass produced and looks alike)and also because the color of the day/year/last 10 years seems to be black, everything is black anymore. It is very interesting to think about though, my reaction was very similar to what you were saying, it totally changed by thoughts to know who she was. However,I think that I would still rather be somewhat idealistic, its just my personality and how I look at the world.

I think I'd make the long button down. I really like vintage, but I want to move away from the poofy skirts, and i think that one would look great with some of my many cardigans.
