Marisol, I also listen to the WSJ This Morning, Net @ Night, This Week in Technology, The Onion, Ask a Ninja and some random comedy podcasts I stumble upon. Mark, LOVE your teachings. I hope we can meet one day. I've been to Scotland once and really enjoyed it. My hubby as stationed in the Navy there as well. Bon journee!

I hear you on that, too...on both sides 'social media' is THE hot word o' the day, isn't it:)?

Hi Mark, Yup, agreed. This post actually came from discussions I've had and presentations I've seen from people in the social media world. They were only telling this piece of the puzzle to their clients/audience. I'd LOVE to see more commentary, presentations, etc where these pieces are incorporated into the social media angle.

Agreed, Eric. There are some amazingly sharp Social Media experts doing some amazing work. I wrote this post out of the frustration that every conversation or current blog post I read was just about the 'social' aspect and people were forgetting about the 'other' piece....that demands a much larger ad spend and employs a bevy of people that the social media space should get to know - very well. They are: -Media buyers -Media planners -Junior analysts -Digital VPs -SEM Managers -Account Planners -Media directors ...these people tend to bring IN the social media piece and are the gate keepers to the Big Brands' budget. It's time for everyone to get in the sandbox, play nice and get to know one another.

WOW! I'm so sorry to hear that - but it's good to know that there is 'an end it sight'. Be well!

I know there is Quickbooks, etc (which I have), but I don't know...I love spreadsheets. I color code cells, move things around, etc. Have fun with it:)

Hey Courtney! I used to budget those monies as part of my 'vacation/gift/' sub category under spending. Hope the spreadsheet helps!

It was a major blow to my confidence and it took about 2 weeks to really move on and not keep thinking it 'was my fault'. Ladies always ask me about pursuing their passions and I think most of us know what it is...but it take a sudden 'jolt' to get there:)

Thanks Marisol! The new haircut really made the hair bouncy all night. That pink top is a Banana top, too.
