Awesome post! My preference would be to ditch the mini's and battlemaps as well, leaving everything to the imagination; however, I've noticed that my gaming group (composed of surprisingly non-hardcore geeks) has a hard time getting into the game without the maps and minis. I've noticed they seem to have more fun when dungeons are presented, rather than imagined. I think they can't get past thinking of D&D as a board game. Kind of depressing, but we still have a great time playing nonetheless. Perhaps imagination will come with experience since they are all relatively new at D&D.

I'm not sure what I'll miss more...Aeofel or not having a new D&D podcast next week. Also, if I'm not too mistaken, shouldn't a 22 roll be enough to climb out of a pit? Chris is an awesome DM, but maybe he was racist towards Eladrin...

Nice catch...didn't notice that the first time through. That's awesome! I assume the shirt was Wil's choice?

Unfortunately Obama's idea of economic reform is to raise the Capital Gains Tax, which will basically result in an economic disaster for this country. He also supports drivers licenses for illegal immigrants which is a hot button issue for many people. It would be nice if we, as a country, could afford to pay everything for everyone, unfortunately it's far from reality. Obama is certainly better than Bush and I really WANT to support him, but his economic policy is terrible. Right now this country needs a good economic leader, but I doubt we'll find one in the next election. I guess as long as we get out of Iraq, I'll be happy.

Unfortunately I only have a Wii so my choice is easy. Guitar Hero III certainly does rock. I'm still highly anticipating Rock Band if it migrates over to the Wii though.
