Leica M9 The buildings in NYC are an architectural shooters dream. Every block there is something interesting. I like how these buildings and the sky play together. Wish I could get up into one of them! Continue reading

Leica M9 So we ate out quite a bit while in NYC. We went out with friends several times. One of our friends really knows the restaurant scene there. Good times. This restaurant, The Odeon, was just so classic NYC.... Continue reading

Leica M9 So there you are in NYC. And behold, the Flatiron building. How many times have you seen it, in movies, magazines, TV shows? How to represent it in a new way? Here is my attempt. Just wonderful to... Continue reading

Submarine races! Looks like the sub is winning? Actually, the truth is a bit stranger. The ferry was going the other way. But that looks like the front right? Our ferries don't have a front/back (or bow/stern in proper nautical... Continue reading

Canon 6D, 70-200mm F/2.8 Really, it's just for fun. Overall, these days I'm not much into any heavy duty processing of my images. I was showing some relatives around Seattle, and so you just have to go to Kerry Park,... Continue reading

Leica Monochrom M Wow, things look quite different in black and white! Almost looks like one of Tony Sweet's infrared shots. Amazing detail from this camera. Continue reading

Canon 6D, 70-200mm F/2.8 Have to be quick this morning... breakfast meeting. I shot this old barn and while I like the color version, I didn't think it really conveyed the age and character present in the scene. In Topaz... Continue reading
Coincidentally John, Sophie used to shoot an X100, but now she has moved up to this Sony as you can see. Something about it being "a little girl's camera?" Thanks for the compliment on the image though, seriously. All that street shooting as made me quick on the shutter. She doesn't stay in one place long!

Leica M, vintage Nikkor 80mm F/3.5 lens I got the opportunity this weekend to shoot an amazing camera, the Leica M. This is basically like my M9, but it shoots only in monochrome, thus the sensor is adapted to capture... Continue reading
Great memory Stephan! Thanks for the comment, as always.

A shot from back in 2007. Couple of friends and I were driving the foothills of the Sierra, just finding what we could. I don't think this chap particularly liked being photographed. Continue reading
