"So the idea that Catholic bishops are violating church and state by bringing Catholic doctrines into public discussion is wrong."
So the idea that Muslim leaders are violating church and state by bringing Sharia law into public discussion is wrong?
Santorum, church, state
One of the enduring myths of this country’s citizens is that “separation of church and state” is some sacred dogma in law and in the Constitution. It is not. Nothing in the Constitution mentions separation of church and state. What it forbids, thank Heaven, is the establishment of any religion. ...

I enjoy your fantasy. None of your "stuff" was sourced. All of mine were sourced.
"at the end still supports my argument that oil production is down on federal lands."
Once again, production is up from 2009 to 2011.

Any evidence the numbers are inaccurate?

This is the second letter from a high ranking employee of Standard Beverage Corp. campaigning against the legislation. If I were cynical, I would believe this is a coordinated effort. Nothing wrong with that, but why not be open about it?
Kansas liquor sales
The Kansas House is considering HB2532, which would expand the number of outlets that sell alcoholic beverages to include grocery and convenience stores. Ostensibly, this is being done to modernize our antiquated liquor laws in the interest of convenience for consumers. I have been involved in t...

Not a single link posted on this thread. Not one. Zero. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
You represented US News as a source. It was not. It was reporting Speaker Boehner's press release. You lied. The House source that you cite is proven to be inaccurate. I will post again.

"Yet in the real world production is down on federal lands under Obama."
Wrong. It increased from 2009 to 2010. Obama would have little influence on 2009 numbers. 2011 numbers are still up from 2009. Not spin fact.
"The revised figures show a 15% rise in production, from 642 million barrels in 2009 to 739 million barrels in 2010.
But the new data also adds in production numbers from 2011, which shows a drop of 12.5% to 646 million barrels."
"Cur offered a Democrat (Markey) demanding the books be cooked for Obama,"
Just asked for accurate numbers. Do you question Platts? Numbers updated as of today.
"yet Cur still can't show us what Obama has done to increase production.'
Posted twice.
"I'm sorry reality has harshed your spin."
The only spin is yours. Federal lands oil production was higher in 2011 than 2009. Fact.
I've answered your questions multiple times. Any chance you can answer mine.

If true, not the fault of this administration.

LL, there is no relationship between the two. It was a joke. The school funding issue is related to rural districts in the west.

"America has been the world’s largest producer of natural gas since 2009. Use of renewable sources of energy, such as wind and solar, is still relatively small but has doubled since 2008.
The report credits administration policies for the improvements. It cites initiatives like the higher fuel efficiency of passenger cars, the jump in renewable energy output, and improved weatherization of 1 million homes"

But this is worth noting...
But more domestic drilling will not end the need for imports. The United States holds only 2 percent of the planet's proven oil reserves, but Americans consume 25 percent of the world's daily output of crude oil."

One of Mr. Speaker's claims is 20,00 jobs.
"5,000 Keystone Pipeline Jobs
The U.S. Department of State, writing in an environmental impact statement, estimated the pipeline would create far fewer jobs that what the pipeline company, oil industry and project supporters in Congress suggest. The project, it said, “would result in hiring approximately 5,000 to 6,000 workers over the three-year construction period.”
2,500 Keystone Pipeline Jobs
A Cornell University study projected far fewer pipeline jobs than another other source, citing TransCanada's own estimates to the U.S. government.
"The project will create no more than 2,500-4,650 temporary direct construction jobs for two years, according to TransCanada’s own data supplied to the State Department," the university's Global Labor Institute wrote in report titled "Pipe Dreams." "The company’s claim that KXL will create 20,000 direct construction and manufacturing jobs in the U.S is not substantiated."
The key finding from Cornell University was that many of the jobs claims coming from project supporters are linked to a $7 billion pipeline project. Scholars note that the budget that would have a bearing on U.S. jobs is "dramatically lower - only around $3 billion to $4 billion. A lower project budget means fewer jobs."
Concluded Cornell: The pipeline project "will not be a major source of US jobs, nor will it play any substantial role at all in putting Americans back to work."

"...not living in Kansas Currahee...I was just guessing on the school closures...I'd have to look into the city's reasoning to determine the actual factors in their decision....."
Just guessing. I like that. SMSD was looking to save money. The district could, and would, raise revenue, but the state will not allow it. It seems that would be unfair to western Kansas. Instead, we will just turn western Kansas into eastern Kansas. Or is it the other way around?

Antioch Middle School for one. Not located in OP, but Mission Valley MS served OP students and it closed last year. MVMS did not have declining enrollment. Both school closures were protested.

Interesting article...
"Then, on June 6, at the nationally televised Republican presidential debate in New Hampshire, former Sen. Rick Santorum claimed Obama "has put (up) a stop sign... against oil drilling, against any kind of exploration offshore or in Alaska."
Now, the Pulitzer Prize-winning fact-checking news site, Politifact.com, has looked at Santorum's claim and has this to say:
It's true that the Obama Administration pulled back the reins after the BP spill. But the administration has continued approving shallow-water wells, and it began to approve deep-water wells again after the moratorium was lifted six months ago. Just because the pace isn't as fast as some would like doesn't mean that Obama 'has put (up) a stop sign ... against oil drilling, against any kind of exploration offshore or in Alaska.' At most, it would be a yellow light, and Santorum's claim -- referring to curbs on "any kind" of exploration -- is over-broad. So we rate Santorum's claim False.
