Last week I was in New York on business. A short trip. I made it to MoMa. It was insanely busy there on a Wednesday morning. Who knew? Anyway, I was able to make it through the whole museum within two hours (way to short, but I was trying to... Continue reading

Hello everyone, hope you're all well. I know I've been on a little extended break, but it was much needed. Sometimes I forget why I do this blog and it becomes more about keeping up with the blogsphere than having fun and that my friends, is no good. A couple... Continue reading

I kept looking at this wall through the window at Cha Cha Cha on Haight-Ashbury while dining on cajun shrimp and paella, talking shop with my brother after a long day of information overload and I couldn't look away so I decided to take a picture. xoxo...Kate Continue reading

Hi Jennifer, the bottle I'm using is 1/8oz so pretty small. It lasts me for about a month or so. I get them from Mountain Rose Herbs at this link: http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/index.php?AID=130035

Hi Marissa! I have yet to find a shampoo or conditioner that I absolutely love, but what I'm currently using are Acure Lemongrass and Argan Shampoo and John Masters Organics Lavender and Avocado Intensive Conditioner. They work pretty good, but I'm still open to trying new products :)

Okay, so I know these aren't photos of smoothies, but this is my version of a smoothie. You can't drink it. You can eat it like ice cream. But the point is, that is has all the same stuff as a smoothie minus something like almond milk. This post isn't... Continue reading

A while back I did a post on the benefits of using honey as a facial wash. It has been one of my most popular posts. However, to this day I still get questions about how to actually wash your face with honey. This is my own fault for not... Continue reading

Hmmm, I don't. I'm not really familiar with hormonal spots, but I will look into it. Thank you for stopping by the blog Lena! :)
Thank you Jill :)
Hi Colleen, I'm sure if it's a purging period or not, however, leaving it on for 30 to 60 minutes is more like using the honey as a mask. I'm talking about using it as a facial wash. This is how you do it: Wet your face and then scoop out a little honey and wash your face with the honey like you would an actual soap. You don't need to add anything to the honey, it dissolves once it touches water. After washing your face, thoroughly rinse off your face with cold water. Then pat dry, your face should feel soft and clean. If you do feel like you're having a reaction to the honey, definitely don't leave it on your face for as long as you have been. It may be the brand of honey you are using, I can't say for sure. I myself, have not had that problem, in fact I've found that the honey gets rid of my blackheads so good and makes my skin so clear that on my nose, it may look like teeny tiny white heads, but that's only if I look very closely. I have also used it as a mask and haven't had any type of problem, but you have to listen to your own skin. Maybe try a different honey and see if it goes away, or just don't leave it on for long (using it as a facial wash takes less than two minutes). Hope this helps!
