According to http://anandtech.com/show/7440/microsoft-surface-pro-2-review/4 "Update: Microsoft issued a firmware update that brings Surface Pro 2 up to 8.33 hours of battery life in our web browsing battery life test, or 76% better than the original Surface Pro." Time to update your article and your views on Surface Pro 2.
Why include the NVIDIA Shield and the Google Nexus 7 in the first graph? Comparing a 5 inch screen and a 7 inch screen to devices with 10+ inch screens is going to be an unfair comparison. Of course they win. Take those 2 products out and the graph makes more sense.
Jeff, you asked, "What would you do, if you could do anything?" Well, I would do this: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/BoltBait/IdealNotebook_zps71f11f58.png That's my ideal notebook.

Unless the keyboard is curved like the Microsoft "Natural" keyboard, I can't use it for more than 10 minutes without wrist pain. I'm actually surprised you didn't opt to create an ergo keyboard. So, what do you have for someone like me?

Ugh. I absolutely HATE markdown. I prefer UBB code instead. It is much easier to remember and use. Not to mention way cleaner and easier to implement.

@Dleppik "CargoBot was written entirely with Codea, a Lua IDE for the iPad." What you failed to mention is the fact that you still need a desktop pc (or laptop) in order to compile the program and upload it to the app store.

And, don't forget... You can't build an iPad app with an iPad.

Portable devices such as tablets and smartphones are great for consuming web content. But, they are absolute crap for creating content. I have an Ultrabook and absolutely love it. The battery lasts a loooong time, it's super light, it has a large screen, a keyboard, multiple USB connectors, an SSD, wi-fi, and runs all of my Windows applications. I'm able to run Office, Visual Studio, Paint.NET, and SQL server. You can give up your PC if you want. But, I'll be happy to keep mine.

Generally I find MP3s acceptable. But, there are some cases where they are really bad. When I compare my MP3s of Sade to the actual CDs the CDs win out by a large margin. There's just something about the quality of her voice on the CD that doesn't translate to the MP3s.

Wil, are you going to be at the Star Trek con in Vegas this August, 2011? (I don't see any mention on your Tours and Appearances page.) My daughter and I will be attending and we would love to meet you.
