Thanks for sharing this interesting info - there are so many valuable changes in the industry these days, it's hard to keep abreast of all of them. Kevin Editor, Schiel & Denver http://www.schieldenver.com http://www.schieldenver.co.uk

Thank you, this is an excellent overview which even helps other book publishers establish a clear guideline for now to address the book publishing industry.
Interesting post. One does have to wonder if the National Geographic channel will also be playing new Random House field guides in their upcoming tv season. Jerry Editor http://www.schieldenver.com
Good post, our book publishers follow trip advisor for eventing management with authors.

Torres is great, I have heard alot about the Fedor training techniques in the last year or so, it seems that Ernesto Hoost has corned the market in teaching them. Some buddies of mine certainly think so. Cheers Mike http://www.yamiechess.com
I was shocked and disappointed...i had just read several facebook messages and went over to CBR, and bam, story about him. -Ken (S&D book publishers)

Revelation chapter 6 begins the first of 3 seven-part judgments with the opening of the seals on the scroll! The seven trumpets in chapters 8 & 9 and the seven bowls in chapter 16 are the remaining two. The unsealing of the seals on the scroll by Jesus in this chapter sets in motion events that will bring about the end of human history. Verse 12 today tells us: "I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood." http://www.schieldenver.com/publishing-packages/christian-publishing.html

Thanks for the laugh. Needed it today and I probably need to explain some of the ruckus to my co-workers. (Could you describe the ruckus?) Good work. Dave, W: Self Publishing Resources

I will look up your book, looks very interesting. I'm thinking of self publishing with lulu myself. Cheers, Jane W:http://www.publish-book.com/
There are actually four posters. :) I bought a set last night that I'm splitting with some book publishers friends. Love the classic style and old feel of them, especially with TRON. Imagine these posters secretly placed in back alleys of the cluster where Flynn crashed his stolen Recognizer!

Jeez, things sure are changing. In the late 1990s housing prices and price to rent ratios were within historical limits. When Greenspan took interest rates to near zero and Bush did away with down payments prices skyrocketed well out of their historical bounds. Mulligan is out of touch. I'm actually publishing a book on this, and the Goldman Sachs debarcle, with S&D book publishers next month - your post is VERY topical.

You are sounding all 'the IT guru guy'. Very cool. If you ever get sick of writing, self publishing and acting, and going to cons, and doing wootstock, and uh... well... perhaps you will never grow tired of those things...

Great post, Mitch Albom's book is actually much deeper than I had first pondered. Enough for now. Like a book publishing hiatus between what's real and not.
