I went through all the same things with my stepson. When his mother and I divorced, he opted to stay with me. I always wondered and prayed that I was raising him to be the man he needed to be, never really knowing if I was doing well enough.
Now that he is an adult, I know, we succeeded. He is not perfect, but he is as close as I could ever expect.
