When I was a kid I got picked on pretty often. My family moved quite a bit. When I say quite a bit I mean on average once a year. I was always the new kid in my school. I was also gangly and awkward. On top of that I... Continue reading

Merry Christmas everyone! It's Christmas Day and all the kiddies have opened their presents. The holiday is winding down. People are waking from their food comas long enough to get their pajamas on and flop into bed. It's a good time to sit down and write out a blog post.... Continue reading

It is time for the Obligatory Halloween Post! Yay! When I decided that I was going to once again start blogging on a regular basis I knew that I would eventually have to write posts about the holidays. Not all of the holidays but the major ones that I myself... Continue reading

I found out that I got my first official byline today! I will explain for those of you that don't know what a byline is. If you already know what a bylines are then congratulations for being a person of average intelligence or above! You may skip the next paragraph.... Continue reading

I was looking through my dashboard on Typepad this morning and checking to see what the traffic to my site was like over the last 30 days. I noticed something unusual when in the section that tells me where people get redirected from, you know if they clicked on a... Continue reading

It's almost Halloween. Time to talk about ghouls and ghosts. But before I make my obligatory post about Halloween I figured I would rant about something scary. This has bothered me mildly off and on for years. Recently it's reared it's ugly head again. The really, super-duper, horrible scary thing... Continue reading

For the record, I voted Democrat in the last election. I am not sure if you can call me a Democrat but I am definitely not Republican!

This week marked a historic day in our country. Now I say that and most people will assume that I will follow it with something that everyone can agree is good for the country and will be remembered fondly for years to come. Well guess what? You might totally disagree.... Continue reading

You ever get so swamped at work you don't have the energy to do anything else? That's the way I have been feeling lately. You have to be flexible in my job but recently it's been overwhelming. I am keeping in good spirits because I know that my boss is... Continue reading

My dad was a big inspiration to me to start writing through his own desire to write. My parents never pushed me to read a lot but I do because of them. I owe my bountiful imagination to them. This is a short, short story I wrote based on a... Continue reading

I learned a lot of lessons when I was a kid. Sure, you say, we all did. I'm not talking about the small stuff like don't pick your nose, say please and that it might be a little uncouth to fart in church. I'm talking about big time important life... Continue reading

Weren't the 80's great? No? Okay, I admit that it depends on your perspective. If you were a kid during the 80's it was probably awesome. I remember how bad ass cartoons were back then. You could literally get up at 5 am on Saturday, fill a mixing bowl with... Continue reading

Thanks ma! A couple of my friends have been reading. I think I want to be a writer when I grow up. I'm 35 and haven't grown up yet so I don't know if that will ever happen.

I complain a lot. I hate when people say "I'm not the type to complain." or "I don't mean to complain, but". That's bullshit. Everybody likes to gripe about something. It's our God given right as Americans to bitch about everything that pisses us off. That's why the Internet was... Continue reading

How much music do you carry with you? Face it. We are all living in the future right now. We may not have flying cars and robot maids but we got some pretty cool stuff. Especially the smart phones. I have one. My wife has one. My eldest has one.... Continue reading

You ever notice people undergo a change when they are on their daily commute? It takes me approximately 20 minutes to get to work from my home. Sometimes 30 depending on how much of that four letter word, construction, they are doing. Apparently the city of Las Vegas has been... Continue reading

Do you care what I think? Seriously. Probably not. I started writing my blog a few years ago. A spurt here, a spurt there. It wasn't a popular blog. In fact the only reader besides my editing eyes was my mother. (Hi ma!) But I have been interested in writing... Continue reading

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I wanted to make sure I got word in even if it is tardy. You mentioned how excited you were to know that there are so many new readers of your blog. I started following you on twitter strictly because of your explanation of who you are in your link to the blog. After I read that you went from some guy I use to watch on tv when I was a teenager to a real person that I had a lot in common with. Someone interesting and entertaining. Your down to earth despite your celebrity status. I really enjoy your writing. Your twitter posts are the only ones I consistently look forward to out of the twenty or so people I follow. Keep up the good work Wil. Thanks for brightening my days.
