Fair correction. I think this is the most logical answer to Derek's implied question. In style, personality, and more, Juan and Sean are basically opposite. I don't think that's a coincidence.
*Jauron probably would have been a better choice in this direction, but perhaps that's where #3 comes into play.

I kind of agree, although it is tough to think about this after a loss like that. But unlike most years (even 2009), we didn't really come into this season with a deep-postseason-run-or-bust mentality. Mostly we thought this was for rebuilding, with upside of fighting for a Division Championship and/or a playoff spot.
In that light this seems great. The problem is that halfway through the season when Vick was superman we revised our expectations wayyy upwards.

I don't know what leads you to say that. Eagles have been historically fairly successful at getting top guys in free agency.

But isn't that a false choice? You say that the team fails to step back and rebuild, but they say they're rebuilding while staying competitive. Maybe that's not something most teams can do, but the Eagles have been ok at it over the last decade plus.
And other than not giving Kolb the snaps that would let us see if he can be the man, not sure that they did such a bad job rebuilding this year.

I'm not buying the pressure situation excuse. Akers has made as many as anyone not named Vinitari. I'm not happy he missed two kicks in a windy playoff environment, but that stuff is mostly luck and percentages with a guy like Akers. This isn't Nick Folk.

Bradley and Mikell will come back -- with their injury history/age neither will be expensive.
If the Eagles don't (want to) work out a long term deal with Vick, they will 100% franchise tag him -- assuming that exists.

1 RT/RG of starting caliber
1 Starting CB opposite Asante
1-2 Contributing DEs to pair with Graham and Cole
1 new Defensive Coordinator

If I were a Packers fan right now I think I'd be a little worried that they hadn't scored nearly enough points considering the low the Eagles reached in that half.
