This Should Be Interesting...
I'm finally starting a blog. All of my domains (nakamoto.net, nakamoto.org, nakamoto.us, nakamoto.biz, brian.nakamoto.name, and nakamoto.family) now point to TypePad. I chose TypePad after being disappointed by iWeb, and SquareSpace. TypePad is well-established, fast, and used by another late ado...

Hi Stubs Member,
You should send your feedback directly to AMC. I haven't had any problems with Stubs in San Francisco.
AMC Stubs
This AMC Movie Watcher was pleasantly surprised to receive replacement membership cards for AMC Stubs. Movie Watchers get their first year free in the new $12 per year program. It was cool that the prior program was completely gratis, but Stubs promises to offer greater benefits for one buck a ...
Ugh. The majority of time I spent on next Tuesday's (June 5, 2012) ballot was to figure out 14 people to re/elect to the SFDCCC. Fortunately, just enough of them had a neglegent web presence, which helped me narrow down the field.
Santa Clara County Central Committee
The June 3rd ballot for registered Democrats in Santa Clara County contains a list of candidates for the "Members of County Central Committee." Do most voters in the 24th Assembly District know anything about these people? The voter guide is useless. The SCCDCC website only lists their names and...
Bob, if you're a member of a political party in California, your county central committee makes decisions such as official party endorsements of local candidates and initiatives. They represent your county party members at the party's state central committee, which handles party decisions for California. The party's state central committe in turn represents California party members at the national level. For example, these are the lessor known people who attend state and national party conventions.

Hi Griff,
You can read the text of the proposed legislation here.
California Schools & Local Public Safety Protection Act of 2012
California's legislature decided that they didn't want to let voters decide whether or not to pay more taxes this year so our governor is predictably putting a proposition on the ballot to let voters make a choice next year. To his credit, Jerry Brown is throwing his full endorsement behind The...

Fix or Block PIPA & SOPA
One of the few issues that attracts bipartisan support, and priority (thanks to corporate lobbyists) in Congress is the creation of new laws intended to protect content creators of software such as apps, books, movies, music, and more from digital... Continue reading

Lunch was a success! Need to remember to order more mahi-mahi, shrimp, and spam musubi next time instead of so many beef short ribs. Probably could have had less rice, and more green salad too.
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is filling and inexpensive fast food. Their "mini" plates are often more than enough for a single serving. Some menu items are healthier than others. It'll be interesting to find out how catering from their San Francisco restaurant turns out for today's lunch... (Strangely...
