I, being the L33T HAX0R that I am, was only able to snatch Volume 3 using my superior intellect. Would you be able to pass along links for V1 and V2?? Thanks, you rock! C_Doc aka MrMrSpock

I don't think Gil can help himself. The spoilers just kind of blurt out. I think it's caused by wearing his white spandex costume just a LITTLE too tight in Buck Rogers. It put some undue pressure on his brain. Erin Grey however, well... that's a whole different story RAWR!

The Mrs. and I have had the chance to go to the Experience twice, including last year for the Big Honkin' Convention, where we met Wil on a few occasions. I must say it'll be sorely missed, unless they find a new home for it somewhere (How 'bout Montreal, home-town of WFS?) One of the many highlights of our trip, was listening to the Enterprise Blues Band in the lounge above Quark's Bar. What a night that was!

Cool story! The Mrs (MrSpock) and I are hooked big-time on Rock Band, after having it for a couple weeks, and she hates video games! We had some friends over on the weekend and we played for hours. We were pretty HAWESOME by the end of the night. I played Creep on Hard guitar, without practicing and got 88% (Go me!) The Ghost Town Rödents <-- Shameless plug, and play on The Boomtown Rats

Great story Wil, MrSpock and I still feel your reading of Justice and BLS at the VegasCon '07 was one of *THE* highlights of our week. Don't know if we mentioned it in person or not, but MrS even went up to the brass before your show started there to ask if they could fix their damn typo in your name on the projector before it started. I still laugh thinking of the "go to hell" look we got from them. Walter seemed like a really approachable person in Vegas too, although when I crossed paths with him at some point in the hotel, I had a homina-homina-homina moment :/

Careful Wil, you'll not get the role of the witty sidekick in Mission Impossible 4: Beating a Dead 70's Show BWAH! *feels sorry for Katie Holmes*

If I would've known of your affinity for the french language, I'da whipped out a few catch phrases in Vegas. The mrs. (MrSpock) is a native Kébéker, and I've become quite fluent myself in the last 10 years of freezing my ASS off in Montreal.

Just to play devil's advocate, but in NO WAY support or justify the current administration: 1) SITE posted this "classified" information on a public server, without any security/authentication? They could have put filters on who had access (IP masks, etc) They might as well have put it on YouTube 2) I can see why they would have wanted to alert the administration early, if the video contained any new useful information, especially specific threats to US interests. Seeing as how it was just more propaganda bullshit, it seems more like SITE was saying "neener neener, look what we found first" 3) Having said that, I can just imagine the big-wigs in the administration, MSNing their minions at CIA/NSA/ABC/NBC/CNN going "omgomgomgomg look at this, but don't pass it along *wink*"

As the old saying goes "Too much, is like not enough". I can sort of understand people that take shortcuts to send text messages in a hurry, especially if they're on a tiny keypad. However, what REALLY gives me the creeps, is people who take the time, especially in IM, to type "okay".... It's just not human I tell ya! (oops)

@Offshored2007: Actually, the quotes on that site missed the "best" part. While on stage, in what I "think" was a mock tirade against JJ Abrams, Shatner went so far as to say something along the lines of "And he's a stupid 'lil shit for not casting me". To this, Nimoy replied, "That's no way to make friends Billy." He did seem a bit red-faced at the photo op, but the photographer made us all look like ghosts... colors washed out on the pictures (see rants in another post) Happy you made it in the paper Wil. :thumbs up:

On my DVD collection website, there's a very true cartoon image of a man and woman exiting the theater, saying "We should have waited for it to come out on video... Our screen is bigger" This is pretty much my philosophy. I bet we haven't been to 5 movies in the past 5 years. 110" Screen, 800 watt THX sound, AND we don't have to pay $20 for a bag of stale popcorn and watered down Coke!! All this on a relatively modest budget. It even makes movies like Python look good!! :D

As if the WFS/Nimoy experience wasn't infuriating enough already, the night just kept on getting better (Glad the Mrs. brought it up so I can vent a bit more) Several of us suckers show up in the dealer room at 6PM to claim our photos on time. The volunteer informs us that they're late (what a suprise) but that they'll be here between 7 and 7:30. We walk back towards the photo-op area to see about online ordering. The guy there says "nope, they won't be out tonight. Won't be here in time, and its too risky to put them out late at night" WTF? Can't these people get their story straight? He even says "With the Shatner/Nimoy/Shatner-Nimoy photo ops, we're talking close to 2000 shots to get developed" Do the math people: That's from a quarter, to nearly half a million bucks. And they said their photo ops were "Extremely Limited" On a hunch, I swing back by the dealer room between 7 and 7:30 and guess what? The story has changed once again! The photos will be here between 8 and 8:30 with a special area set up to claim them until 9:30. At 9:15 on the last day of the convention, after standing around with another 200 extremely patient fans instead of relaxing after another long day, I finally have my grubby hands on our photo. On the back, I swear to god, the name of the lab is: Michael's PhotoLab (Must be right next to the Kwik-E-Mart) We had a good time.. honest! C_Doc, aka Mr. MrSpock

Have to share my anecdote about the Con: Our experience at the Vegas Con was super, as far as the guests were concerned... Yes, except for one (don't panic Wil, you were cool) It came in the dealer room, where we'd bought someone's CD and they were very gracious, and even personalized and signed it for me (us). Don't know why I didn't think of it at the time, but I didn't ask for a photo. The next day, we went by the same person's booth, and were waiting behind a guy who was getting an autograph. The person's assistant started climbing all over me saying "NONONO, no pictures unless you BUY something!!" So I politely said that I'd bought something the previous day. The "star" then jumped in, saying "Well you'll just have to get in line and wait until I finish with this person", which was what I was doing before being accosted. They even apologized to the other fan for the "rude interruption". Needless to say, we turned around and walked off. I SERIOUSLY thought about bringing their CD back to them, without asking for a refund. Other than that, everyone else at the Con was very cool (especially Wil, Vaughn & Casey) And yes, I *can* be bribed into telling who the "star" was ;)

Ps, Yes, just as in school, I messed up my question as well! Should have said "Wil! If you could have chosen your own accessory, would it have been a HAT or a BAT?" Mini-Review: Wil owned the speakers. Nimoy is *the* quintessential STAR of Star Trek (Just ask James from Honolulu) and the Enterprise Blues Band are da bomb! (Look them up)

Ya know how the day after you get beat up at school, when you THEN think of something REALLY awesome you COULD have said?? Well, I was that way, the day after asking Wil about seeing his own action figure in the stores for the first time. Here goes: Wil! If you could have chosen an accessory for your action figure, would it have been a towel, or a bat?

I just (re)confirmed that there is free wireless access in the Las Vegas Hilton too! Trek geeks rejoice! Fortuna restaurant offers 24 hour free wi-fi. We'll see how good their range is (unless you have to buy a $20 coffee to get a login)

Excellent! I was wondering if I'd have wi-fi access upon arrival. Too BIG, my laptop for the TrekCon trip, so I have my Tungsten E2 STUFFED with wireless apps. Should be cool. Email, Web, FTP, IM I'll look like the Trek Geek that I am, with something very similar to a tricorder *snort*

Wil! Are you as PSYCHED about the TrekCon in Vegas as we are? Tried to meet you in Montreal, but after 2 hours stuck in traffic to pick up my wife, she said you'd left already. WELL, we're flying clear across North America (no, not just to see you..That'd be more than slightly scary) to spend the week in Vegas. If we don't get the chance to count Trek Babes together, I might just do something drastic, like throw my Wesley action figure from the roof of the Stratosphere! ;)
