GAH! Since there's already going to be a gaggle of geeks on the east coast, when I heard rumblings of w00t2, I had my fingers crossed that this would come over as well.

re #9 - I may be the only person who thinks this, but I doubt it so I'm going to use the collective* "we". I'm not really interested in a live, online type thing, because we already have you on the internet. Just about any appearance you make or speech you give winds up on the tubes, and I don't think that watching those would feel significantly different that watching a live feed where you may or may not answer or comment on something that I've thrown at you. (Besides, that latter part is pretty much what we all do on Twitter or your blog.) We want to be in the experience. When other people watch the video, we want to say, "Yeah, but I'm telling you - it was even more hilarious in person." I appreciate that you're trying to appease more than just your LA fans, but you asked, so my vote is that it wouldn't be the same. I do think that there are several spots across the US that could make it worth your while to travel. I think you need to figure out exactly how much money / how many people would justify a trip, and then announce something on your blog. I've never bothered with that Eventful box over there because you've never really pushed the idea. p.s. If you do come out to the east coast, please bring Adam Savage with you! Of all the things I've missed by being on the east coast, w00tstock is the one I most wished I could attend. * not that collective.

Wil - for those of us who don't follow Paul and Storm's site (the last thing I need is another internet distraction during my work day), can you post a note here or on twitter when the next round of voting starts? kthxbye

I agree with some of the people above, who mentioned that it's pretty apparent to us that this isn't something you started, or asked for, or plotted, etc. Heroes is still my favorite show (I have hope!) and it would be awesome to see you there. It's even more awesome, and much more personal, since some of us are out there in twitter land just like you (albeit with far fewer followers). I think the average person feels that tv/movies/etc are always completely orchestrated behind closed doors, in a world that we have zero access to. But now, it's like worlds are colliding!!1!

I did miss that, so thanks for the tip. That's pretty damn funny, and yes Rick Rolling has now completely jumped the shark. I would think that a lot more than 10% of people would get it, but maybe that's just a sign that I spend WAY too much time online. Happy TofuTurkey Day! (?)

You're welcome. :) However, I sometimes hesitate to consider myself a veteran, since I received a medical discharge before ever being deployed anywhere (stupid knee). USMC - 1998-1999 Thanks also to all the other current servicemembers & vets out there.

I saw that on Fark, and it was the first time I realized that they actually have a "Wheaton" tag. Awesome. I thought the vasectomy comment was strangely personal, and that you'd just ignore it. Your reply, however, killed me - I'm totally not supposed to be looking at Fark from work and I had to try to disguise my laughter as a coughing fit. I'm pretty sure I failed, but thanks for the laughs. :) *I think the interweb ate my post, but if not I apologize for doubling this.

Thought you might appreciate my last tweet. "Stolen from a comment on a blog: "If McCain is the Maverick, is Palin the Goose?"" That's all :)

Darn - looks like I'm late to the "mention your tweets on your blog to show how much we obsess like you" party. So I'll just say - awesome. I still chuckle when that picture of you pops up somewhere. It will never die.

So, I guess I should start commenting more, that way if/when I finally catch you somewhere you can say, "OH, so you're Caitlen. I..uh..have to go...and find my...um...yeah." Also, I almost never watch horror movies but I have seen It. Tim Curry was so great in that role that my joy in watching him outweighed my fear of the creepy killer clown. Maybe it was just easy for my mind to picture the clown with fishnet stockings on. Does that make me weird?

For the Venn diagram fans - www.indexed.blogspot.com posts one diagram a day - sometimes, but not always a Venn. Also sometimes Venn diagrams - Flickr song chart group. Some of which are freakin hilarious.

I just finished watching the Russian office freak-out videos that are all over the tubes today, and then came over and read, "After much furious . . . behavior..." This is making for quite the amusing movie in my head. Sorry about your lost efforts, but I hope that your fury didn't include a shovel. (Sledgehammer? Axe? Seriously, what was that thing?)

So, does it make us awesome or just old if we got every reference that you made in those tweets? ...and had each of those cassette tapes.

After swearing off t.v. for a while, season one of Heroes is what made me get cable again - because I was sick of the jumpiness of watching it over my crappy DSL connection. Season two was...eh. I'm hoping that the awesomeness returns.

Has Nolan heard his fabulous "Boogie In Your Butt"? It's too bad - I did a quick search but I can't find an official video for it. Definitely another one that was not a good idea.

Wil saying (ok, writing) 'boss' immediately made my brain go here: Bob Cormier: Hey! From the racks and stacks, it's the best on wax! How 'bout another double-golden-oldie-twin-spin-sound-sandwich from K-L-A-M in Portland? Iiiiiiit's... Pie-Eat Audience: [finishing sentence] Boss! I love the wikis. :)

I've always been able to make fun of my shortcomings (HA! SHORTcomings...I'm 4'10"..get it?..get it?!..oh, nevermind.) and I love it when other people are able to do the same. That way, we can all get over our hang-ups and laugh at things that are really funny - like the fact that I'm 30 years old and I still jump up onto my kitchen counter to reach things. :) Oh, and some fangrl (or fanboi) is going to be up all night trying to unscramble your license plate number.

Hey Wil - hope your recovery is progressing every day. If you happen to check your comments and are looking for some amusement on teh tubes, here's something you might like. Database of Limericks. When I came across a link to it, they tagged it as 'geeky' limericks, and while many of them are, the rest are standard smut. Enjoy!
