At two months old, Sullivan is: most comparable size-wise to his sister at six months, check out her six month photos where she is wearing this same shirt! lets just say he takes nursing very seriously ;) wearing his sister's hand-me-down cloth diapers. How I'd missed the huge cloth diapered... Continue reading

Our girl turned 3 at the end of August and I still can't believe it although she reminds me every 5 minutes. Three is a big deal, to her and to us. Three is big-kid everything: bed, undies and of course parties. I've learnt that big-kid parties means that the... Continue reading

We escaped to our favourite little piece of paradise last weekend, the cabins where my in-laws live, to spend time with family and share baby snuggles. The cabins were full so we ended up sleeping in my sister-in-law's camper trailer, so it was sort of an unintentional first camping trip... Continue reading

I've been busy mailing and delivering baby announcement cards. I have always loved making cards of all kinds, but using Shutterfly to create beautiful cards from our favourite photos has really taken it up a level! My sister in law came over to our house when Sullivan was just 6... Continue reading

My friend gave me the most amazing gift, a mother-daughter maternity photoshoot with Kikadoodle Photography a month before Sullivan was born! The images she captured are so special to me. The mother-daughter bond is an incredible thing. It truly is a love like no other. But I'm learning that there... Continue reading

I've had these photos ready to post for almost a week now but wanted to document Sullivan's first year similar to how I did Emery's monthly birthdays, which meant coming up with a long, lovely list of all the adorable things Sully has been doing this month. However, at this... Continue reading

At the end of the Summer I was on a mission to clean up my yarn basket before the cooler weather brought about knitting season. My basket was overflowing with odds and ends that I rolled up and packed into a bag to tote around with my the last few... Continue reading

Here we are leaving the house to meet up with family to go trick or treating in true toddler style, which basically just means the most ridiculous way possible haha. It's an adventure every time we head down the front steps ;) How far can she lean out on one... Continue reading

I'm taking us back to our September long weekend in Tumbler Ridge today. To a glorious weekend of Autumn hiking with my parents, husband and little girl. The weekend had a terrible weather forecast but we decided to brave it anyways and we ended up seeing the sun way more... Continue reading

This delightful little drink is what I've been carrying around with me every single day for the past few months since I bought a bulk amount of lemons and limes and chopped them up for easy access in my freezer. When life gets busy good hydration can be one of... Continue reading

Apparently 3 weeks of Fall is all we get this year! The top photo was taken last night around 4:30 as my husband and I walked to my parents house after class/work to see Emery, and the bottom photo was taken just 24 hours earlier as I went running with... Continue reading

Happy Belated Canadian Thanksgiving! I'm still turning turkey leftovers into soup over here, and I hope you are too. Seriously what beats turkey leftovers? You're right- pumpkin pie leftovers... but those are long gone. We spent our Thanksgiving weekend with family - SO MUCH of family - in Edmonton and... Continue reading

We celebrated FIVE years of marriage mid-September and my husband surprised me with a quick anniversary trip to the city! He arranged for Emery to stay with his sister (I truly have the greatest sister-in-laws) and booked us a night stay in a fancy hotel. We have this tradition where... Continue reading

Thank you Leigh I am so glad you enjoy reading it! I definitely love writing and sharing in this space. As for the busy-ness, being busy is definitely my sweet spot! Some people are great at focusing on few areas and really excelling at those, but I am and always have been a dabbler- always doing different things, hopping from one to the next. :)

THIS is the playground mobile. Our beloved Chariot stroller (which converts to a bike trailer). The specific stroller model that we own is the Cougar, which is ironic because on this particularly picturesque Autumn morning of riding there was a cougar roaming the trails as well. We saw no signs... Continue reading

I love blog posts about the little things in life. The things that don't make up an entire post on their own, and aren't entered around a certain topic, but are just snippets of life. Reading them always humanizes the blogger to me and makes me feel more connected. However,... Continue reading

Now, I don't know what your definition of sugar is. For me it's the white crystals that I try to stay away from, not glucose in general. My body runs on glucose! So although these cookies are sweetened (with either agave nectar or honey) I named them "sugar-free" because they... Continue reading
