I can relate 150%. Thanks for the honest post. I think you will find a lot of people feel this way. I'm starting to get grumpy about days like today because of the pressure (I must have posted my blog entry on the subject 5 minutes before you). You are right, this is on us...not the kids. Kailyn would be happy making all her own Valentines. We just finished the Wax Museum project as well and I had to let go of my control on that one too. At one point Kailyn said "Mom, this is MY project, let me do it". That was a rude awakening for me. She is right. How will we raise creative kids if we force our own thoughts and creativity on them and trump theirs? Truthfully, she will never think she has the lamest project because she thinks everything she makes is awesome. I love that about her and I have to remind myself that this is what is important. Any feelings of worry are my own...not hers. Thanks for posting this. I am in your corner.

Thanksgiving, here we come!
