What a tragic story. May they rest in peace. Posted by: Six | August 01, 2010 at 10:32 PM Not sure what Mark ever did to you, hes just a baseball player whos worked his butt off his entire life to earn every penny hes been paid, i understand you hate the Yankees, but i assure you Mark is a class act. I have know idea how you can call him a douche, bc im sure you have never met the man. This blog has always been great, i dont post as often as some but i do read every article and almost every comment, and i am truly grateful for the wonderful content and everyone who is a part of this community. This is however the first time ive come across something personally distasteful and appalling. I am good friends with Marks cousin and he is in fact "truly family", i do not appreciate your uncalled for comment. If mark is a douche bc hes an incredible baseball player that, according to the free market, is worth millions of dollars, than what does that make you?

How good is he? How many stars would U give him? Leadership skills? Character? Posted by: 86Cane | June 26, 2010 at 06:47 PM Driskel is a tremendous athlete that with the right personnel theres no doubt he can make plays. Like i said before our program is brand new so his highlight tape might look below average at best. Im xcited o see what he does at the combines and allstar games next season. i would give him 4 stars on athleticism, size, and potential. Hes a leader and a good kid. he can do big things if he stays motivated. gonna be amazing watching him and teddy go at it in 13'.
Six I just think American kids do not see much future in soccer here in the US. How much money can you really make as soccer star as opposed to football, baseball, basketball, hockey? Kids start out playing young maybe stay in it in high school but then what? I even think La Crosse is bigger than soccer, at least at Lake Brantley it is. Just my 2 cents. Posted by: canechic | June 27, 2010 at 10:06 AM exactly my point. i was a 3 sport athlete in highschool just 2 years ago, my bestfriends played soccer but rarely do you see a kid from the states try and make a career out of soccer, theres just too many opportunities to make more money doing something else. Canechic I went to Hagerty, i played lacrosse, never beat LB my entire career, props to the great athletic program up there in the Springs. Go Canes!
#20 Driskel the future gator, goes to my alma mater. he is no where near as strong or big as tebow coming out of highschool. But he is a tremendous athlete with tons of upside (our football program is brand new, i was in the first graduating class at Hagerty in 09) so Driskel had absolutley no surrounding talent. He is very very fast for his size though. Love the kid, thrown the football with him a couple times, hate to see him go to the turds. But gimme Bridgewater all day everyday! GO CANES!
Am I wrong on that? If soccer is so popular, a ton of kids play it here and I see that a ton of high schools and a lot of colleges have soccer teams - then why can't the US field better players in order to beat someone like Ghana Posted by: Six | June 26, 2010 at 05:07 PM You do realize that ghana couldnt even begin to compete with us in Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey or any other sport other than soccer. All they have is soccer, yes we may have a larger population but our population much rather play one of those sports and make much more money here in the US. The US soccer team has come along way, but their is no money here in the states to have the best athletes play soccer. yes it sucks that we lost to a 3rd world country in a sport that costs little to no money to be good at but Im proud of our showing in the Cup. USA!
hey guys, in regards to the UCF questions, i go to UCF and we dont sell out all of our games, but there is no doubt in my mind that the miami game will be sold out. Not sure where to find tickets bc i buy my student season tickets through the school.
