Loved this video! Thanks for taking time out of your day to answer some fan questions. I absolutely love listening to you and Anne together. (Anne, you are freaking hilarious!) Keep being you!! <3
Video Q&A Post for Denver Comicon
I was not happy that I had to cancel my appearance at the Denver Comicon this weekend, mostly because I knew that there were a significant number of people who bought tickets specifically because I was going to be there. Aaron Douglas did a magnificent job (because he is awesome) replacing me, a...
The geek in me approves that you used exactly 100 words, not counting the link. :) Enjoy your time off....you are completely right - you have earned it!!
Doctor Manhattan and Galactus, together at last.
After months away from home (with occasional 12-24 hour visits), I'm finally in my own house, enjoying something resembling a summer vacation. I'm not too keen on doing anything that isn't goofing off, and I'm really okay with that, because I think I've earned it. Until I feel recharged enough t...
LOL, I was totally going to call him on that too. But hey...with only 4 hours of sleep, math IS really hard. (I, myself achieved a wonderful** 5 hours of sleep...but fault is my own for not going to bed earlier when my alarm would be going off at 5:30 for work)
**Wonderful might be an exaggeration, since I had a dream that my 3 children and I were being trained to fight in some war and I was desperately trying to find a way of getting them out of it, as they are 12, 10, and 8 yrs old.
tamed by the purr of a jaguar
Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post. I had no idea so many new readers were visiting my blog; I'd just assumed that the Internet had gotten bored with me, moved on to whatever the new hotness is, and I was writing for the few, the proud, the geeky who had been here forever. Knowi...
I can totally hear myself saying something similar to my children in a few years (Good grief...how can they be getting that old already? Oldest just turned 12 yesterday!).....hope any teens reading your reply here will listen! ;)
Because it's become a yearly tradition, here's a story about fireworks
I've written hundreds of thousands of words over the years, but this remains one of my all-time favorites, so I like to revisit it every year. It was originally written and published on July 5, 2002, which usually feels like years and days ago all at once, but this year actually feels like a lif...
First time reading this story...relatively new to your blog (though had I known about it, would have been reading years ago!). We all have those moments where we completely humiliated ourselves in front of our extended families...you captured it perfectly with your words. :) Glad you can laugh at yourself now and that you've made plenty of great memories with your boys!

I have to say I was a bit amused to see Wil quoting PeeWee last night, lol.
And the shirt would be epic, Wil!
Is this something you can share with the rest of us Amazing Larry?!
Anne went to bed before I was tired last night. Being a good husband who doesn't want to get The Wrath, I opted to head into my office on the other side of the house to watch a little TV before I went to sleep, instead of sitting in our bed and watching TV there. (Yes, we live in a house that is...
What I love about reading your writing, is how much emotion you can convey in just a few words. "...I sleep on the wrong side of the bed so I don't feel Anne's absence more than I already do..." It touches the heart, really. I hope you have a good day on set today, Wil!
two hundred words before six in the morning
When the alarm went off at 5am, I wasn't sure where I was. I mean, I knew I was in bed, but I was on the wrong side of the bed, and why was I awake when it's still dark outside? After a few seconds, my brain finished booting up and I remembered that I am in Vancouver, I sleep on the wrong side o...
I really hope that with voices as big as yours, that changes will be made. I am thankful that I don't have to fly for work. It makes my heart hurt to know that there are so many out there being violated like this and our government (that is supposed to protect us) allows this to happen. That it thinks this is helping America. How sad for our country.
I don't feel safe. I feel violated, humiliated, and angry.
Yesterday, I was touched -- in my opinion, inappropriately -- by a TSA agent at LAX. I'm not going to talk about it in detail until I can speak with an attorney, but I've spent much of the last 24 hours replaying it over and over in my mind, and though some of the initial outrage has faded, I st...
