Yes it is special. I’m waiting for the fabric now. It has to come from the USA. This will make it even more special.

No I didn't. I said 2 years ago that I wouldn't buy any more kits but this one I just had to have. I bought the box as well. Grossly overpriced, well over $200AU, and when I opened it all... Continue reading

I really enjoy the challenge that this activity creates and the pieces are small enough to finish in a day. I’m not sure why I couldn’t create this for myself. I will have to ponder that one.
I have got to like some of these ducks they have real personalities. I’m so glad that one got away.

This may be a small embroidery but it took me the best part of a day to stitch it. Mainly because I was stitching in a single strand of silk thread, that does take time. The inspiration for this piece... Continue reading

I agree. Sometimes you can‘talk till you are blue in the face but seeing the mistake has far more impact.

My friend has a beautiful 7 acre property on the island. Kerlew creek has it's source here and she has deepened it to make a lovely pond. She has also encouraged the wild ducks to shelter here with the motive... Continue reading

I am finally finished the sample for the class later this year, a tablet cover. Actually, the hemp fabric is perfect for this kind of use. It is tough and will stand up to quite a bit of wear and... Continue reading

He has another 3 months before he will be fully recovered but he is doing so well and there will be no stopping him. I am pleased with the Kogin piece. It will make a good class.

Yes people feel safer being able to copy. I saw some lovely Kantha work in India when my husband was working there. One of the Indian ladies I know has this wonderful silk sari all stitched in Kantha in silk. It was expensive to buy and hard to come by. Most of the work was done by women for their own homes or sold to support the family. I think it was the middle men who made all the money.
