I wonder if one of Terry Prattchet’s imps are to blame!
This week I have commenced work on the bundle of charm squares that I have accumulated. You know how it is? You see this fabric you love but you don't have a project that you want to make out of... Continue reading

Now that I am feeling better I find it is a lot easier to cope with the count on my Kogin bag and the piece is progressing. The other piece is a trial for the next children's class. I bought... Continue reading

These little birds live near water, usually in and around the jetties and wharves. The little ones on our jetty often fly with the barge all the way over to the island and then back again. They make their homes... Continue reading

These are the last 2 from the left over quilt fabric. I still have a bit of this fabric left over but I will keep it for later. After these 2 I'm going to make sure the pieces are straight... Continue reading

They are lovely. Last time I visited Denmark I went looking for the Guild but they had closed their rooms. The best place to buy their kits now is the USA or England. Times change.
Oh I could never give them away. They remind me of the time I spent in Denmark. The people, the places, being young and the joy of discovery.

The Xmas decorations are all finished. My friend Angela had given my some lovely Xmas fabric last year and it was perfect for the backs of the decorations. One thing I should have done was to allow a 1/2" seam... Continue reading

Poor old Oreo had to finally be put down. He has lived far past what a normal goat would live but it was sad to see him towards the end. He had been rescued from a terrible life. He had... Continue reading

Yes, I do love those books. Maybe it is because I taught in school for so long and can relate to the stories. Thanks for the translation. And here was I thinking it was some profound Zen saying!!
You sure would.
I have just finished a course from Future Learn called "Japanese Culture Through Rare Books " from Keio University. Some of it I have found a bit academic but if you are into rare Japanese books it is fascinating. In... Continue reading
