I sure wish I could get some of these critters! Before finally convincing our city that the 70' palm on the parkway was a disaster waiting to happen (in the 2007 fires, burning palm fronds led to the loss of 13 houses on our street) and it's removal, the tree has sprouted hundreds of little palms. They are impervious to Round Up and yanking them seems to make more sprout. My kingdom for a red palm weevil!

I lived in San Francisco and was heading home from a job fair in San Jose. I was on the 280 near Daly City when it felt like my car got 4 flat tires. I pulled over as did everyone driving near me. We all got out and looked at our cars and each other and I wondered what the heck had just happened. It wasn't until I exited the freeway and started seeing all the damage that I put it together. I worked in Sausalito and our building was right on the bay, when the aftershocks hit, we could see the seismic waves in the water heading toward us.

Americans do not have the right to go trampling where ever they like. If these women had obeyed the rules, they would not have had a problem. Who paid for this mission and the private plane? I'm going to be pissed if I find out if was we taxpayers.
