Each year everyone gets excited for the Super Bowl never mind the commercials that come with it. Most people just watch the Super Bowl for the hilarious, amusing, and energetic commercials. Sometimes they are talked up and are not as good as they could be. Millions of dollars are put... Continue reading

I think offering a financial course into the high school curriculum would be a wise idea. Most teens do not know much about finances and how to handle money and usually have to learn on their own or have their parents teach them. I think if this class were offered,... Continue reading

I agree with your blog Zac. I feel as if life is harder every year for teenagers due to technology and their surroundings. I agree when you talk about colleges now a days being a lot more competitive than ten to twenty years ago. Teenagers feel they have to be the best at everything and need to have outstand grades and such just to be accepted which is a lot of pressure for a young adult. Also, like you said, teens have to worry about sports and style and keeping up with their social lives. All of these things can cause stress on a teen. I feel that parents do not understand teens in todays world because everything was much different when they were a teenager. It seems as if life was easier for them and that’s why they do not understand some of the problems teens have now a days because they cannot really relate. I agree when you talk about teens dealing with stress and things that go on in a teens life like bullying, jobs, school, etc just add onto the stress to the point where eventually they will break. Everyone has a breaking point. But overall I agree with what you talk about throughout your blog.

I love this invention that you picked David. This invention can make so many people both young and old happy once again. Those who suffer from being paralyzed can have new opportunities and do not have to miss out on things that they once loved to be a part of. This invention of the eLEGS Exoskeleton can open the doors and brighten the lives of so many. Tchnology keeps on growing and improving each year and with this new invention other invention can be created off of this to help those who are paralyzed or have other disabilities. Everyone should have the chance to do what they want in life without any set backs or restrictions. Many can benefit from this new invention in the community and in their own home. I agree when you talk about how like the Ipad and Iphone are new inventions and are growing and updating every few months but that is a material invention this is an invention that can better lives and like you said “allows people to live once again while having the ability to walk”. Overall this is a great invention with many benefits and I hope to see it improve and achieve all that it can. Very good David!

I do not think the NCAA should have to change their rules and regulations because of these athletes who were caught receiving “inappropriate help” or “cheating”. Those who play at the college level were given that opportunity for a reason, because they have the skill and talent. I look up... Continue reading

I agree with pretty much everything you have stated in your blog. I dislike when teachers go over a lesson quickly to get it over and done with because they feel like we need to move on. But when a lesson is breezed through quickly I do not grasp the full knowledge and end up falling behind, which stresses me out. I know who you are mentioning when you talk about teachers being to old. I agree with you, older teachers should either stop teaching and become a substitute or change their style of teaching. I also agree with what you say after about having the same teaching style since the teacher has begun teaching. As time goes on things change, life changes, and new ways of technology and teaching arise. Teachers should change their lessons and way of teaching so that the students can understand it better and learn it easier. Students tend to communicate and understand younger teachers now a days because they feel they can relate to one another easier than older teachers. Being able to talk to a teacher and feeling comfortable with them about maybe extra help after school and such is also a big key in learning. If you are not comfortable with your teaching then you will not do as well in the class I feel. Altogether very good blog, I agree with what you are saying.
I have had a variety of teachers in the past, some good and fun ones and some boring and unhelpful ones. I was always the kind of student that liked when the teacher interacted with the students. A few qualities of a good teacher would be to have a positive... Continue reading

I agree with your first few opening sentences about how Facebook is a great form of communication. Facebook helps me stay in connect with my family down south and in California. We get to see each others pictures and get to catch up on things going on in our lives since we do not get to see each other often. I agree when you say that how teens use Facebook to connect to the real world. Some people use Facebook as like a guard or a wall to say and get out what they need to get out but they would never say it to the persons face. I agree when you talk about posting of inappropriate and unnecessary pictures that everyone can see. I touched base on this subject in my post as well about how young teens abuse to rights of Facebook and post ridiculous status’, notes, and pictures. I agree that some things are meant to be private and kept from the rest of the world. Most older people do not abuse Facebook and use it as the correct form of communication. But there are young teens who use Facebook to get everything and anything out in the open as a way to seek attention. I agree with your last sentence that some people post status and comment on other profiles using hurtful words and they really do not know that their words can really harm others. One hurtful post or comment towards someone can lead to serious matters such as that person hurting themselves or someone else. Overall I agree with your post about Facebook, very good David!

If there was to be a Life 101 class added to the schools, I think it should consist of real life issues, problems, and situations. Once again I agree with your post Emily. Does someone really need to have their phone by them at all times? No, what is the point of that, they are depending on an object to predict their life. I agree that is is silly and careless grammar mistakes. Anyone can write a good paper if they put their mind to it and are less distracted by their phones, facebook, or even the television. Students could careless, that's their problem now a days. Teens don't want to worry about school, they want to be out and having fun. Students just have to realize when they are texting and when they are doing something for school, they need to separate the two and know when to use proper writing. Overall, I agree with what you mentioned in your post.

I agree with you Emily, cheating is everywhere and is not uncommon at all. I agree with you when you talk about being a small school and how everyone has their friendships so its easier to cheat. Everyone just exchanges answers and thinks its no big deal. I also agree with the laziness, people cheat because they are lazy and just have no motivation to get their work done so they turn to others. Also students who do participate in sports have less time than others to get their work done but that should not be an excuse. I play sports year round and now have a job but I still manage to get all my work done without cheating. I agree that kids start cheating at a young age, like middle school, and perfect their skills by the time they get to high school. It is not right but there is nothing teachers can do. I agree with your points 100%.

I agree with you Rachel, that if the drinking age was to be lowered that younger kids would be able to get it easily. More young teens in high schools would start drinking because they would easily get it from the upperclassmen. Which is another issue, buying for minors. I also agree with you when you say that more teenagers would get behind the wheel. I feel as if they are not matured enough and think that nothing can ever happen to them so they will act reckless and drink and drive which will cause many more deaths. Very good arguement, good points as well, I strongly agree with you.
No, I think that the drinking age should remain at 21. Young teens will continue to underage drink reguardless if the legal drinking age is 18 or 21. If the drinking age was to be lowered this would give younger teens an easier source to get alcohol. More students in... Continue reading

Good job David! I'm glad to see that you are doing really well with soccer and I hope you make it far! You have always been a good soccer player since we were little kids back at St. Anne's. Good luck I know you guys will do great, keep it up. It's also good to see that you are challenging youself with tough classes this year. Dos is not easy but you were always good with history. It's nice to see that his class is one of your favorites. Keep up the good grades and you will definitely make it into all the colleges you apply too. You are a smart and all around well rounded student, you will make it far in life and will be very successful. I'm happy we got to start our education together in pre-school at St. Anne's and have been friends ever since. I have always known you as the person to go to when I need advice and the one I can always turn to. You have always been such a good friend and I hope our friendship continues throughout college and beyond. Good luck with everything in the future. :)
