After a summer full of misread putts and tee shots into the woods, most Pennsylvania golfers are usually ready to put away their golf clubs for the season by September. It makes enough sense: the weather starts to get cooler,... Continue reading

In recent months, country music fans have been spoiled with the amount of top-tier country concerts passing through the greater Harrisburg area. Just in the last few months, the area has played host to the likes of Kenny Chesney, Blake... Continue reading

With one week of college football in the books and the NFL season kicking off on Wednesday night, most of us can barely contain our enthusiasm. It has seemed like an eternity since the New York Giants (sadly) hoisted the... Continue reading

Other than most politicians and Joe Buck, only meteorologists are more consistently wrong without facing any negative consequences. Knowing that, I'm only cautiously optimistic about Saturday's forecast for near perfect weather when the Rock Allegiance Festival takes over Hersheypark Stadium.... Continue reading

To call Penn State's off-season tumultuous would be a gross understatement. Since November, the many tributaries of the Jerry Sandusky scandal have dominated every second of Penn State conversation. And from the firing and death of Joe Paterno to the... Continue reading

Every four years, the Summer Olympics completely engulfs my attention. As a former basketball player and track athlete, my draw to the Olympics makes enough sense, but I catch myself on the edge of my seat during swimming and even... Continue reading

As three of the biggest stars in country music, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert have a lot in common. They each have multiple radio hits, platinum albums, regularly play in front of sold-out crowds around the country, and... Continue reading

Up until this uncharacteristically warm year, it was almost unheard of to play a public golf course in Pennsylvania in March, nevermind in shorts. Now only May 8, I've already played a number of different courses this season and unfortunately... Continue reading

There are few things more exciting than March Madness, and while the "Big Dance" steals most of the headlines, Championship Week is no less dramatic. Thirty-two automatic bids to the NCAA tournament are awarded to conference champions each year, and... Continue reading

Let me clarify, since I've caught some grief for that sentence. If the phrase 'local music scene' includes all of the national acts that come through great local venues like the Abbey Bar, the Whitaker Center, and even the American Music Theater in Lancaster, I'll take back that comment. I think Central PA does great attracting nationally touring acts. My issue, not as big as the sentence sounds in hindsight, is that since I'm here (about 6 years now) there has not really been more than one or two local bands or artists that I've seen that made me go 'ok, I need to see these guys again'. So when I wrote 'local music scene', I was referring to the actual music being played and created by local bands. There's nothing I'd like to see more than some local band create some sort of buzz, but over six years of seeing a good amount of local music, only a few acts caught my ear.

The Eagles took the lead into the 4th quarter in five games that they ended up losing. That's a trend and if they held the lead in one of those 5 games, they win the division and make the playoffs. That's a fair topic to cover, and thats the point I made. Glad you enjoyed it.

So by your logic, most teams winning in the fourth quarter by less than two touchdowns end up losing? I'd love to see those numbers.
