That's lovely, Sirda! It's a wonderful poem for weddings :)
Pooh & Me - A.A. Milne
Wherever I am, there's always Pooh, There's always Pooh and Me. Whatever I do, he wants to do, "Where are you going today?" says Pooh: "Well, that's very odd 'cos I was too. Let's go together," says Pooh, says he. "Let's go together," says Pooh. "What's twice eleven?" I said to Pooh, ("...

Vintage Video: Making Fashion (1938)
I spent the weekend recovering from jetlag and catching up on my favourite blogs and stumbled upon this fabulous video, found by fellow Aussie Frances Baker. The detailing on these beautiful gowns from the late 30s is just magnificent... nowadays,... Continue reading

I'm sorry to hear you had such a poor time with your dress! :(
I purchased a 14, but it fits reasonably well, and while I agree that some of the fabric isn't of the greatest quality, I wasn't bothered at the time, because it looked so good on, and I didn't find any issues with the finish of the dress (I thought it was quite good).
Might it be wortwhile contacting Hell Bunny regarding the quality, and perhaps they'll exchange it for one that's not so troublesome?
Modern Vintage: Hell Bunny's Victorian inspired dress
I thought I'd do something a little bit different this New Year's Eve by adding a touch of Victorian to my look. We'll be in Edinburgh (possibly my favourite town EVER) for the Hogmanay celebrations and it's a town that lives and breathes gothic architecture, so I thought this gown would be ...

Modern Vintage: Cupcake Wrapper Company
I love a crafty entrepeneur and the Cupcake Wrapper Company has two - mums Kat and Nat, who recently started selling their fabulous wares on Etsy. Cupcake wrappers are designed to wrap around a cupcake, and the best thing about these cuties is that they're laminated, so that you can reuse the...
Just thought I'd comment that I FINALLY got my blue coat (it was waiting in the UK for me) and it is a fantastic coat. Absolutely love it and wore it everywhere over my hols.. I'm looking forward to when it cools down in Oz so that I can wear it again!
Modern Vintage: Fever Designs' 'Denver' coat
One of the great things about being a vintage lover is that whether you love the 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s (or any other fashion era, at that), the era has already come and gone, so it's no longer subject to trends. Why is this great? Well, when you spot something of or styled after that era, you k...

Aww, thank you, Nikki! *blushing*
I do like to pretend to be a walking flower garden, though. The only perfume I tend to wear is Crabtree & Evelyn's Rosewater... so I can walk around SMELLING like a rose garden too. :)
I'm a flower nut, for sure!
MGMart's fabulous fabric necklace
The obsession with fantastic fabric necklaces continues here at Pretty Vintage, where I'm very pleased to announce that my lovely husband bought me TWO new necklaces for Christmas! (It may have helped that I took them off the display, handed them to him and gave him a knowing look.) In any cas...
Also - wow! A goth club! I don't think I'd ever be quite brave enough to venture into one, but I thought I could prettify this and... who am I kidding? I'm going to need to go to a goth club, aren't I.
:)

Definitely do - they are SO seriously the coolest kitchen item I have ever seen! Even my hubby thinks they're the bees knees :)
Vintage Kitchen: Russian doll measuring cups!
One of the best things about holidaying in another country is finding fabulous 'treasures' on one's shopping adventures! Now, being an ardent fan of cooking, I'm always on the look-out for appliances and gadgets that have both form and function for my kitchen, and when I saw these beauties, ...
Aww, I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately, it didn't arrive in time for our trip to Edinburgh, so I've had to resort to my back-up dress that I (luckily) bought yesterday! Not quite as gothic, but still pouffy and cool :)
