It was my birthday! I had a really great, chilled out day. I started painting my room this really pretty purple, got a trip to LA, a dressform, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and a guitar. I don't think I'll be giving up this skirt for a while. It's so flattering, though you'd never imagine it. It's such a simple piece but it does so much. Here, I wore it with purple tights, a white long sleeve tee, a rolled up purple cardigan, black ankle booties, and a purple scarf. I love that color palette, too. I loved her from episode 1 of Gossip Girl. She & her character may have different takes on fashion, but she nails it head on off-screen & on. I adore those shoes. & this cut-out dress is about to become something us non-starlets can wear on outtings in spring of 2010. & as for Blair ... Even though the outfit is pretty simple & low-key, it's such an great look. I mean that in the sense that it is 1. super comfy, 2. easy to get the pieces, and 3. still kinda rock star. American Eagle jeans are great and aren't too expensive. They fit various shapes & sizes, with many washes and styles as well.
