This made me chuckle, then be pissed about the stadium situation. Revs need a venue like Red Bull Arena....PERIOD!

Fair enough. But in an effort to create a better atmosphere this year, the Revs mgmt have opened the other side of the lower bowl to now have fans on both sides....why they didn't do that from the beginning is beyond me. Not sure how much of an effect it's had yet. AS far as the a problem with WHERE the stadium is: Foxboro is just so off the beaten path, it's a trek to get there. If a soccer venue was in Boston, they'd have a better crowd (via location, public transportation, more culture diversity in the city) and they'd get plenty of game day walk ups as well. But that being said, I see where you were making your point from. As Coach Belicheck says, "It is what it its."

Ryan....easy bud. The Revs fan base cares deeply. The stadium situation is not optimal to watch a game, but Revs fans love their team (http://revolutionsoccer.net/supporters). The Rebellion, the Midnight Riders hangin' in the Fort.....games can get pretty fun from a fan stand point. Have you been to Gillette for a game or are you making baseless accusations? Curious. I agree that a soccer specific stadium, closer to, if not right in Boston is needed, but the Revs are supported my soccer loving friend.

Looking forward to his creative passing on the attack in the final third after #Shalrie pushes it forward. #Revs

Why aren't these Boston Companies sponsoring #Revs jerseys? #FidelityInv #Raytheon #TJX #BostonBeerCo #NStar #Akamai #Genzyme #EMC #Biogen
With the omni present Boston v NYC rivalry spanning across the sports scenes in both cities....& with Red Bulls Arena being a fantastic facility.....Mr. Kraft needs to get on the ball & build a soccer specific stadium for the Revs on his available land around Gillette and retail destination Patrio Place. Gillette sucks for soccer & he shouldn't be outdone by NYRB. He as the $, he built up Patriot Place to be an expansive entertanment destination for Pete's sake....now build a footie stadium damn it! It'll be packed with Nicol's Army.
Why in the hell isn't this game being played in the Rogers Centre (SkyDome)? WTF?
Great comments everyone. MLS is a much improved league, especially the last 2 seasons or so. I like the idea of expansion but 24 seems like a good cap. Then have 12 teams make playoffs...I mean NHL and NBA have just about half the teams make it. 12 still gives the option of the 2 leg aggregate format.....kinda like the round of 16 in the UEFA Champs League (a great example of a playoff system used by one of the greatest competitive soccer leagues in the world!) But I agree that the Conf. Finals should be renamed the MLS Cup Semis and make that a 2 leg aggregate format format as well with MLS Cup remaining a winner take all game (much like the Quarters, Semis and Finals of the UEFA Champs League). Anyway, I am excited for some of these changes....now as a Revs fan...Mr. Kraft needs to build a soccer specific stadium on his vast track of land next to Gillette and Patriot Place (retail, restaurant, entertainment and hotel complex) to keep up with what the NYRB have done (y'know the good 'ol NY/Boston rivalry). Revs have a great following up here in NE but Gillette is a canyon venue for soccer....plus Revs need to get back to a MLS Cup and actually win one.....ugh.
