Nice. Can't complain with the Austrian Arnold commando.

FYI: USA won.

WOW! What those Swiss girls just did at the Bronze game? That was sublime. Pure awe in the 3rd. Two down, and wow! 4-3 to overpower the Swedes for the podium!

Yup, great game, Timmy. One of the most dramatic comebacks in Olympic hockey history!! Those Canadian girls showed the World why they were gold for 8 dominating years!

"(You have to go all the way back to the Mark Prior, Kerry Wood and Corey Patterson days.)...the Cubs went from one of the worst to almost the best in about 28 months." Good job! I love that positive math (thinking)! Who would have thought? it took 12 years since 2003 for the Cubs to actually OWN real talents down their farm? Amazing while pathetic.

Always love the Peanut. Grew up with it. I see that you need to slow down the gif. Each dialogue box flshed 0.8 sec., and I couldn't keep up but the first 1/2 of the 3 full lines Lahair was saying.

>>It was so huge you could pass it down from generation to generation and not run out until the Cubs won a World Series. HAHA. The line saved my day. Seriously, the World-Series gag will run out one day, right? At least that's what we fans hope... When one day we'll joke about a generation NOT going into the Series, as we've seen a couple of them at Wrigley Field...

A Wisconsin brew, I see, the local. Next time if you visit Scotland, then, grab them- The IPA, after all, came from that island.

I first saw this and thought it's something else, and then saw it as a keyhole, until the "beer" word floats and hit my retina, I finally realize what you were trying to draw. My friend wanted to try weiss (wheat) beer. I told him yesterday: if you like good bitter (hoppy), IPA (India Pale Ale) is good. Try the Scot IPA. I personally prefer McEwan's.

You like Olney of rumormill? You must be Mr.Burns' secret cousin! :-p Well, it's all about the World Series in the future, yeah?

This black spit looks more effective than the Valverde spitball everyone's talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PSAdbWD85kg XD :-D Haven't posted here for awhile, but you know we across the globe love your work (and we all love our Cubbie).

Sure, but it didn't sound funny. You sounded like bashing the whole process (again, good for players).

Actually, arbitration is good. According to Bill James, who were part of the arbitration, they were called arbitrators (not "tribunal," as you mistook an ancient Roman office an equivalent of today's Supreme Court Judge combined with the Secretary of State). The arbitrators are respectable judges or former judges who volunteered to participate. The arbitration is vital and a way for players to express themselves. Players believe they need to be paid more. The clubs don't agree. The players need somewhere to prove his case. Hence, arbitration. Hi Tim! Those were things for the Tribune era. I'm glad we are past that. But you know, weirder things happened to an owner in baseball. He might enter a different state of mind, then so graciously fire his current manager and install a new mascot mule. Steinbrenner and Charlie-O.

Haha. I got a good... haha... laugh... Man, forgive, haha, my manner here, because, ha, I should feel sorry, haha, when a good man grilling under the sun, hahaha, robs his own eyes out for the radio, hahaha... Can't stop LOL... ... My secret Cubscern is that the Ricketts suddenly wants"Win Now." Then he'll dictate Thoyer & Co. to trade all prospects for a Peavy (say, Wilson?) and a Brian Roberts (say, Utley?). The Cubs will be nicknamed "Northside Zoo" or something, just saying.

That depth chart shows an infield of Koyie Hill, Ian Stewart, and Jeff Baker. Hmm... I guess I'll take a hibernative nap first. Wake me up when the trade deadline passed, that's July 31, 2012.

Brilliant! A Monty Python moment for Ron. I'm sharing this. My personal emotion is that "finally, all rest and well. Amen."

And DANG it is. That press conference was pretty good. Keep winning, Theocracy and Tommy Boy. :-)

I should have been more skeptical (and result-oriented) now, after so many failures of Hendry and Q. But I still share your sentiment. This is the biggest step forward, and the right direction for a long, long time. :-)

Pujols actually MADE history by setting the all-time record of most total bases in a single game of a World Series. Anyway, nothing to do with the Cubs, not until a looong way ahead... Are you happy with Epstein?
Wicked. The Ricketts are learning the game, that's a quote from Bruce Miles. Whether he walks or run, I'm positive about the way Tom handles the GM thing. He doesn't need to sign Epstein or any big name out there. The courting itself is a good sign. Wait, we'll see.

I like how that first line "era" almost reads 666 (stands at 6.65 right now). It's good that SOMEONE must lead this Cubbie team to the Beast of destruction.
