I've always struggled with my role as a mother. Even with sons in their 30s and a grandchild, I still struggle to believe I measured up as a mother! I know that impacted on how I parented and how I... Continue reading

Thanks Sandi for popping by! I totally relate to your favourites and I'm not surprised by the fact that doing RAOK is your favourite. After all, that's the most obvious win/win for all. I too find that first one to be the biggest challenge. Even though my mouth can say that I deserve to have time for me, the habits of doing for others run deep and are hard to shift! Cheers Chris

I don't think I could ever go live somewhere that didn't have great coffee shops. Not that I'm a coffee connoisseur or anything. In fact, my temptations are tea and hot chocolate. But cafes that make great coffee and pride... Continue reading

Oops that would have been an obvious thing to share with my readers wouldn't it? Yes I too saw the dancer moving clockwise so am more Right-brained. Interestingly, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't will my brain to see her moving anti-clockwise. Thanks for popping in to Take A Bite, Karen.

Make sure your salads have a good mix of crunchy vegetables and a variety of bright colours in them. Things like celery, fine shredded red and green cabbage, red pepper, julienned carrot etc all work a treat. The plate looks exciting and the crunchy texture immerses you in the sensate pleasures of eating while still staying true to healthy food choices. Cheers Chris Owen
