This was just a clever ploy to get us RSS readers to check out the comments, wasn't it? ;) I've seen others make the Watchmen comparison, too...yeah, it's definitely there. (Maybe that would make Mama Petrelli the Silk Spectre analog? And wouldn't THAT be creepy... Hrm.) And I'll agree with the others' comments about the online comic; I don't always remember to read it, but when I do, it's always been satisfying.

My wife and I made the same observation when we were watching it last night; and, yes, it was most painfully obvious in Mo'nique's bit. Their shutting her down at every attempt at improv made it so the audience was laughing AT her rather than WITH her, and that's just not fun. I'm hoping they figure that out, because this really does look like it has the potential to be a fun show, if I can just stop feeling bad for the guests.
