Hello lovely friends! You may have noticed that it has been quiet around here lately. That is because I have been working towards purchasing and running my own domain! I have moved to repapered.com There are a few little things I need to work out, but it will be live soon! Thank you for following me here for the past (almost) 10 years. I appreciate you and hope that you will hop on over to my new site. See you there! Continue reading

Here is my pocket pages for Project Life from Jan 25 to 31. Here is a look at the left side... Here is a look at the right side... And here is a look at the entire spread... Loving the pops of pink and orange in this spread from the Kelly Purkey kit. Are you using a particular kit this year to document your PL? I'd love to hear about it if you are! Continue reading

Almost a year ago I started an Etsy shop which I named rePaperedShop. It is my side hustle. Have you heard of Chris Guillebeau? He bought a lottery ticket and never checked the numbers! Not because he's crazy, but because he believes in himself. He is not sitting around waiting for something to happen, rather he is making it happen. (His initial claim to fame is travelling to every country in the world by making the most of frequent flyer programs - or travel hacking, as he calls it!) My decision to start rePaperedShop came about from listening to Chris'... Continue reading

This Project Life spread turned out to be nice and bright. This year I am not trying to keep any time frame on my spreads. I have not designated a specific spread to be a week or even two, I am just going to keep a running documentation of the photos that I take. If a month takes up 4 spreads or 3 or 5, I am not concerned. Also, I am using mainly the Ali Edwards Stories by the Month digital kit for January, with a little of the Kelly Purkey TN kit from January. Here is a look... Continue reading

My 2018 Vision Board came together quite nicely. In late December I made the decision to sign up for the One Little Word class by Ali Edwards. This year long class challenges us to choose a word to invite into our lives for the entire year. The word that I chose was REFINE. In January our assignment was to complete a number of prompts that helped to define our word and flesh out the essence of it's meaning. Writing it all down in my TN helped me to really own the word and see how fitting it is for me.... Continue reading

This year I am doing Project Life in a pocket page album again. For the last two years I have been recording my everyday in a traveler's notebook (which I love) but I take so many photos and it is tricky to fit them all and the corresponding stories in the small TN format. So I made the decision to document in a 12x12 pocket page format again this year. I am still using my TN, but for smaller stories. That only require one photo. I am on the wait list for Ali Edwards' Stories By The Month kit. I... Continue reading

The One Little Word prompts for January 2018 really pushed me to think hard. My word this year is REFINE. With this word, I intend to make small, consistent changes to affect big outcomes. In my handmade TN (from rePaperedShop) I adapted the printables from Ali Edwards' class before printing and then added my own calligraphy. I also adhered one of the cards from the class with washi tape as a flap. Looking at the year ahead I feel like I have a plan now... I knew that I wanted to add dividers for each month so I printed the... Continue reading

I'm so glad you were inspired to find your own way of doing Advent next year! I had success with this format this year and at this point I intend to do it again next year. Already there are a few new ideas I want to incorporate next year, but it will mostly stay the same. I think...

At the beginning of January I decided to subscribe to the new Kelly Purkey TN kit. I am so glad that I did! As soon as I opened my first kit I knew I had made the right decision. Making a decision to purchase a kit is not something I jump into lightly. Being in Canada, most of our shipping costs are almost double the cost of the product I'm buying and then there's the conversion rate. So if a kit costs $35US (that's almost $44CAD), then the shipping is often around 30-35 more dollars for me! It suddenly becomes... Continue reading

Day 24 of December Daily ended up being two different spreads in my TN. The first story (above) is about my new way of doing an Advent Calendar and then how I put together my Christmas art wall. This layout design was very simple, with just two patterned papers dividing the page and a journaling label centered on top. Two pics on the right side are grounded with the repetition of three circular elements that connect the two pages. The foundation of the second spread was again quite simple; a snowflake and journaling tag on the left and a full... Continue reading

I struggle with the same issue. I love the ringed binders for adding in extra bits and such but when I was doing only those I was missed constructing a scrap layout. The TN has allowed me to do that again, but on a much smaller scale, as I used to do full 12x12 layouts. I am actually missing the pocket page documentation right now...

I have signed up for Kelly Purkey's Traveler's Notebook kit club. She has recently began offering a subscription specifically for those who scrapbook in a Traveler's Notebook and you have a choice of the 3, 6 or 12 month subscription. Since I was a CT member for One Little Bird in 2017, I had plenty of digital product to grow my skills with hybrid scrapping. I loved it. And in so doing, I also moved into documenting more in the TN format. This year I am investigating other products and clubs that are out there to help me tell my... Continue reading

So, here is another completed page of my December Daily album. The trouble with me is that I take so many pictures. So when it comes to telling stories I want to include them all! This spread turned out quite involved and it all started with the extra papers that I had kept on this day. First, I needed a house for the grocery bill from our big grocery shop for Christmas Eve, so I sewed this little envelope from vellum, embellished it and attached it with washi tape. Then, I embellished the back of the envelope as well and... Continue reading

So, I am participating in Ali Edwards' One Little Word project this year. With a new year comes decisions about which projects to take on. Every year I take stock of my life at the moment in order to contemplate and evaluate which projects will be manageable for the entire year. It has been several years since I took the class with Ali Edwards because I knew I could not sustain the class at the time, but even so I did have a word that I used as a sort of mantra. This year, however, I am excited to be... Continue reading

So, catching up on December Daily pages are my priority right now. Here are a few pages that I have kept very simple. The goal was to just get them done. One photo, some journaling, nothing complicated. I am still loving this project, even though I didn't finish on time. In fact, there is a sweetness that comes with working on past projects, don't you think? I get to relive recent memories that I am wishing weren't over quite yet... Continue reading

So, Day 12 of December Daily is all about the house lights. Every year, there is a bit of a struggle as to whether or not they will make it up this year. Hubby is busy, so I never quite know if it will happen or not and I don't like to bug him about it. If it happens, it happens... So when it does happen, I know that he has made the effort just because I appreciate it so much. Ya, he's good like that. This page is a simple horizontal photo that spans to two pages of the... So, Day 11 of my December Daily is telling the story of music. I wish you could sit with me and listen to the iconic sounds of these vintage records. They are bringing me such joy! I designed this Falala insert on my iPad, then cut it with my Cameo and slipped it into the trimmed down pocket. You can see the other half of this pocket on Day 4. It is quite fun! And I could not have asked for a better patterned paper to match the gold colour in the record covers! Also, can I just say that... Continue reading

So, Day 10 of December Daily tells the story of us visiting our fave craft market. Since I started my Etsy shop, rePaperedShop, hubby has been very supportive of my crafty endeavours. We enjoy strolling the aisles of these markets and pointing out the uniqueness and ingenuity of some people. And of course we love the people watching! For this spread, I added a couple of the meaningful business cards that I gleaned that day. I attached them along the edge with an assortment of shiny silver washi tape. Then I added a strip of blue/green houndstooth patterned paper along... Continue reading

So, this year for my December Daily I used the format of a traveler's notebook. As such, I decided to include a dashboard, as I know so many have in their traveler's notebook line up. So I sat down with my iPad and sketched out this popular saying. I am taking an iPad lettering class with Liss Letters and am learning some pretty cool techniques, so I thought I would put them to good use here. On the back side of that page I decided to write a prayer for December. And I am finding that just having written it... Continue reading

Day 9 of December Daily was another surprise story. Baking cookies after supper was not planned. But when hubby wants shortbread, he makes it! I figured these process photos required a bit of a photo strip so I arranged them all in Photoshop and printed as one long photo to match the photo on the reverse side of this page. (Trying out the mini muffin pan was my idea and maybe not such a good one) And here is the back side of that little tab that I added to Day 8. This time I stamped words from Kerry Bradford... Day 8 of December Daily is marking our extremely mild weather. My girlie and I were out running errands and I snapped this great sun flare selfie of us. Looove... Typically we are under several feet of snow by now, but instead we are walking around in sweatshirts and bare feet in our shoes! And just to not clutter the page, I hid the journaling beneath the photo. And the sunsets (and sunrises) have been so stellar that I just could not NOT document it! After printing out this full page photo I wrote on it with a white gelly... Continue reading

So on Day 7 of December Daily, I let the photo shine (pun intended). I love it when I see photos that seem to flow right into the white space of the page, so I attempted to achieve that look myself. Perhaps I should not have added the border... The story says it all. I wasn't going to. But I did. And you know what? Every night when I look at the glow of my rose gold tree it makes me happy. It's so sparkly and heartwarming... Continue reading

Day 6 of December Daily was one of those days where nothing exciting was happening. I was debating what story to tell when I happened to go downstairs and see this scene... The two of them just looked so cozy and the little bit of decorating that I had done seemed noteworthy, so I snapped a quick pic and head up to my craft room to compose it. The paper I ended up choosing isn't even holiday themed, but the colours work so nicely with the rest of my notebook, that I used it to bring the colour to an... Continue reading
