Thank you Melanie! It really seemed to flow for me this time around. And I am happy with the results. Are you doing a WITL album too?

So, I am coming to the end of my Week In The Life album. Here is a look at Friday's pages. I have pared them down to only include the full spreads and not the individual close ups of pages. There were just too many photos. Friday was a migraine day for me, as you can see by the scowl on my face below. I really just wanted to stay in bed all day but forced myself to get up and take some shots anyway. Someday I may be glad to look back and see what a migraine day looked... Continue reading

So, I am back after the long weekend to share Thursday pages from my Week In The Life album. I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love this project. There is something about the massiveness, the completeness, the overwhelmingness (not sure that's a word!) of this process that makes it all so worthwhile when I flip back through these pages. Whatever stage you may be at with your WITL project, I encourage you to push through as the final result is so worth it. On the front of each tag I hand-lettered the day of the week and... So, here is the second half of the Wednesday photos from my WITL album. These girls and I have worked together for 20 years! It's a bit hard to believe it's been that long, but time has built a strong friendship. I don't typically document the drop off of my Etsy orders, so it was great to capture and tell the story of it here. This is a 4x6 PL card that I trimmed down to fit into the 4x4 pocket. This stamp on the photo is one from the Ali Edwards 'Day in the Life' kit from 2016. Unfortunately... Continue reading

Thank you kindly. I had fun creating those tags, and I am all about repetition...

So, Wednesday in my Week In The Life album was a very full day. As a result, I decided to separate the day into 2 different posts! Here is part 1... My daughter had to go downtown this morning which isn't typical, so I found myself in crazy traffic at a crazy hour of the morning! I felt like I had lived a whole day before I even got to work that morning. And here I am at my desk working... taking shots of myself with the TimerCam app. This was another non-typical event for mid-week...going off campus for lunch!... Continue reading

So, here is Tuesday of my WITL album with Ali Edwards. I have followed the same general pattern as Monday with a few other bits added in here and there. I made the tags myself with the date stamps by Elle's Studio and my own handwriting. I included random labels by One Little Bird to write additional thoughts throughout the album. I love this colourful card by Ali Edwards. Sometimes I stamped right on the photo. Here I added in the business card from the restaurant we went to for my hubby's birthday. And I also saved the receipt in... Continue reading

So, I participated in Week In The Life with Ali Edwards again this year. I will be sharing my album day by day with you over the course of the next few days. I started each day with a tag that I hand-lettered and added the date stamp by Elle's Studio. Following that I had a variety of 4x4, 3x4 and 2x2 photos and cards. On the back of each tag I repeated a stamp in a fading pattern. For the 3x4 photos I used a 4x4 pocket and then sealed it with the Fuse tool (which I absolutely love... Continue reading

So here is a TN spread that I forgot to share back in March. While celebrating my mom's birthday, my daughter grabbed my camera and started snapping pics while inviting us all to jump in. We had fun being silly and serious. And since I couldn't choose just one photo, I created a photo strip of sorts in Photoshop so that I could include them all. And of course the Duly Noted digital papers and ephemera by One Little Bird created a sweet backdrop for all those photos. This turned out to be one of my all-time fave spreads... Continue reading

So, I am back from a bit of a break and picking up from right where I left off. This spread is one I did for my March TN using the Duly Noted digital kit by One Little Bird. I also used the letter stamps from Kellie Winnell and the geotag & the 'mountains are calling' stamps from Feed Your Craft. I had several photos from this ski weekend that I wanted to go into this one spread without all the photos taking over. On the left, I adhered a tab to the top photo and you lift it up... So, I am yearning for Spring. Since the tulips aren't coming up in the garden yet, I had to go buy some at the grocery store this week. Our winters are so long and the gloom drags on for what seems like forever. So it is usually around this time of year when I get restless and need a little pick-me-up. These tulips helped. Even though they only lasted a week... TECHNIQUE It was time for another full page photo in my Traveler's Notebook. So I printed this photo at 4.25x8.25in, the size of my TN page. Then I used... So, here is a layout from February's Traveler's Notebook. A year ago, my youngest girlie moved away from home. It was hard. And she is 8 hrs away up north, so we cannot just drive up for the weekend. But on this particular weekend my sister and her family went up to visit my cousin and see my girlie. I'm glad she got big hugs from her auntie. TECHNIQUE For this layout I knew I wanted to keep everything very light and airy because of the photo being that way as well. So I chose this tiny printed background patterned... Continue reading

So, lettering Bible verses is such great practice for me. It forces me to slow down in my day and focus on what is important. I can already see some areas where I need to improve and adjust my lettering. It is so helpful to see what and how others are doing with their lettering, so joining this little challenge has been wonderful for me. I am inspired by the letterers in the #30DAYSOFBIBLELETTERING community. How about you? From where do you draw inspiration? Continue reading

So, last week we celebrated with my Mama. She is aging so gracefully and only gets sweeter every day. Our family all gathered at my house to celebrate her. We ate good food (Sean cooked jambalaya), we told good stories, we laughed and we hugged each other a lot. Ash came home from up North and was able to be here too. I love the relationship that both my girls have with their grandparents. It is so special and we are blessed. These are the most precious moments for me...being together and loving on one another. TECHNIQUE For this layout... Continue reading

So, I have been participating in the 30 Days of Bible Lettering challenge this month. Not only is it a good way to review these Bible verses that warm my heart, but it is also a great opportunity to make a daily practice of my lettering. I have been slacking in this area lately with other creative endeavours on my plate at the moment. It is so good to find the time in my day to slow down and focus on lettering and God's Word. So, I love reading and that needs to go into my Project Life TN too! I can remember as far back as junior high when I would start reading a novel and couldn't put it down for anything...bedtime, homework, or even mom calling me for supper! Sometimes, I even took my book and flashlight under the covers with me in the night to read (sorry Mom, this may come as a shock to you!) So my love of reading runs deep. I don't have as much time to read now as I'd like, adult responsibility and all, but I do... Continue reading

So, here is a Traveler's Notebook spread about the fact that winter is hanging on way too long this year. I can't take it anymore! Sheesh! Even these lovely digital papers are calling for spring. I cannot get over how much it keeps on snowing. Every time we get a warm day or two I cross my fingers that it is over, but then it snows again. And we have dull great days, which make it tricky to photograph my spreads. Anyone with me...? TECHNIQUE For this layout I started with the subtle (fish scale) patterned paper that ran across... So, to kick off my March traveler's notebook I did a layout for One Little Bird using the digital kit Duly Noted. I love the softness of the colours in this kit and the little hints of spring...even though we are not seeing it in my part of the country just yet. It was the perfect kit for documenting the lovely farm fresh eggs I get from my mom. They are not my mom's eggs but since she lives in a little rural town, she has connections to farm fresh eggs. And being a farm girl myself (where we did... Continue reading

So, I finally got my hands on Flow Magazine. This is a magazine for paper lovers and I love paper. The magazine originates in the Netherlands and so is written in Dutch. There is also a French and German version. I was first made aware of the German version through my IG friend Andrea (her Instagram and blog). I had never seen one in person, but since I was traveling to Europe, I thought that just maybe I would find one in French, because at least I could read that. After buying this German copy, I did some searching online... Continue reading

So, this Project Life spread is documenting my fave drinks right now. I love matcha green tea. When I happen to have a can of coconut milk in the house I sneak it into my tea to create a latte. We don't really drink regular milk in my house anymore and almond milk does not go well with the matcha, so creamy coconut is my new favourite. My go to drink at Starbucks used to always be a chai latte, however, now that I have cut way back on sugar in my life, I am trying to make different choices.... Continue reading
