To sum it up: Everything we got was delicious... The pascaito frito was probably the most ordinary dish..but it seemed never ending. I swore I ate half the bowl just by myself but there was still a ton left at the end of dinner. Patatas bravas were excellent. great recommendation by kirk. the pinchitas morunas (skewered lamb) were very tender, raba and pulpo were delicious but the croquetas were just ok. nothing spectacular. the Paella was rather expensive..basically $40 for one platter ($20 per person, each order is for 2 people). It was VERY rich and flavorful. I must have eaten 5 pieces of bread and 5 cups of water just for one plate. Very salty but delicious! That's why there's complimentary bread...

oats added a texture I was not used to. I think it would be much better w/o the oats. kind of like chocolate chip waffles but more filling

flattening it out wasn't a problem as long as the water is hot when the dough is mixed, making it a lot easier to work with. Also, sprinkle the surface you're working with with some flour so the dough doesn't stick to the table or roller and break. At first i was afraid of smushing the pancakes too badly after putting the green onion inside (they start squirting out and breaking through the dough), but everything turns out ok after they go in the frying pan! :) our sausage ones were delicious too when we ran out of onions.

when the bagels are all bubbly like that it means they're old bagels that have been defrosted for a couple days

I believe all the food is real and wrapped in ceram wrap. You get free tea in little plastic cups if you eat there too! The owner of Dishes is really nice!
