I completely understand the whole "don't want to get sick" thing. I attend two conventions a year, one with about 40-60 people and one with about 800-1000 people. And there are plenty of people who show up sick. So I get where you're coming from. If I were to attend Dragon con however, and I had read your post, I would show up with a surgical gown, mask, and gloves. spread hand sanitizer on the gloves and give the old open arms hug request. If nothing else than for the laugh! Stay well!
