I've been saying this for years: ever since the lady Donna took over as the U's president, the atmosphere has changed. This isn't a bad thing. But it seems that sports championships aren't the priority anymore. Case in point: the U's football team has just about the highest academic rating in the NCAA. But I don't think it will compete this year, or next year, for that matter, for the national or even the ACC championship: not as long as it has to compete against schools that put sports before academics. It could be that the U's glory days as a home of championship sports programs are over.
