@Logo Design Thank you for posting this enthusiastic comment. As a Vendor I'm sure you are aware of the need to consider best investment of money and dollars and while I agree that conferences in Europe for SLA will add to our international exposure I caution financial prudence. Perhaps starting with some good regional conferences to raise the profile would be a great start. When time for the planning of these great adventures comes perhaps we can call on you for assistance and guidance. Constance
Is SLA an International Organisation/Organization?
Candidate Question 5: SLA is an international organization. How can SLA involve and reach out more to members outside of North America? Finally, a hard question to answer and an important one. I don't know that the answer I give here is the right answer or even on the right track. What I do know...
@Plumbing Supplies - Thank you for your comment. I would never style myself as a politician - just a dedicated SLA member who answered the call of running for an important position to help harness the best practices I have been exposed to as a member and long term volunteer. New York Public Library Desk Reference and Webster's Dictionary are my top Ready Reference Resources.
Then you have the legal stuff: Bluebooks there are many in the legal world. Bluebook on Legal Citations, BlueBook Directory of Courts and Government and my favorite isn't blue at all. It's the Goldbook Directory of State Government for Kentucky.
Best Ready Reference Resources
So in the spirit of making lists this holiday season, what are your Top Five must-have ready reference resources? Imagine what you'd take with you to provide basic reference service on a desert island (well, maybe that's not a good example, because I'd certainly choose a resource that would hel...

Leadership Summit 2008
Kentucky Chapter to Host Leadership Summit 2008 Once again the Kentucky Chapter is playing a major role in SLA events. SLA realizes that all members, even small chapters make an impact on the organization. The Kentucky Chapter first came to the attention of a broad spectrum of SLA members with...
