Hi Lynette, I will get the latern tutorial up tonight, so you'll have that in time for your troop meeting tomorrow. But if you want to gather your supplies today for the lantern. You will need yarn (we used red but you can choose any color), more red envelopes (four per lantern), hole puncher, stapler & staples, and printer to print and scissors to cut the strips of Chinese well-wish characters to string up at the bottom of the lantern. :)

Hi Jean, these little firecrackers make adorable 'good luck' favors as well. I will get the instructions up for the latern as well. It is so super duper easy, you can creat it under a few minutes when you have all the supplies ready! I would love to see how your granddaughter's firecrackers turn out! :)
