What a lovely young woman she is :) That is such a tender, exciting, new time in life. I often look back on my first year of college with fondness. Your friends are very blessed to have you in their and their children's lives. I know I am grateful for the mom-like mentors in my life :) And yes, time is weird!

Work wise it has been a crazy, but good summer. I always forget that summer is like this! I continue to feel grateful for my own God-designed path and my faith in His timeline for my work as a photographer.... Continue reading

I vividly remember the first time I saw a photo that was taken in Prague. I think it was on Flickr sometime in college. I remember thinking that it looked like an absolutely beautiful place with rich tones, history, and... Continue reading

My cousin has the cutest baby I've ever laid eyes on. I call him King baby. He's really something else. So of course I was excited to take some updated portraits of him. Amelia is so creative and always comes... Continue reading

Of all the cities we visited I'd say Vienna was my least favorite, but that doesn't mean I didn't like it! Mom and I stayed here for two nights and I felt the most comfortable with public transportation-- Vienna train... Continue reading

Budapest was colorful, textured, and completely incomparable to any other city I've visited. I think when you hear "Eastern Europe" there's a few (usually unsavory) images that come to mind. When we arrived in Budapest I learned that the preferred... Continue reading

When I think to my favorite moments and places I visited on this trip I remember Salzburg. We ate well here, the entire city had a magical vibe to it, and there was so much to see (and photograph!). Downtown... Continue reading

I was spanked as a child and I think I turned out great. You're a wonderful mother. Traveling is just hard. I often recognize that I'm not even having *that* much fun, but when I look back I am always glad I go. Call me a creature of comfort who enjoys her routine, bathroom, and comfy bed. But- for the sake of memories it's important.

How cozy and wonderful! Cabins are just relaxing places. I love how your mom decorated, that doorbell is darling.

I have always wanted to visit those big trees! Those girls didn't know how lucky they are ;) Can't blame them for enjoying the little forest critters, though. Glad you had a wonderful time, the last photo is simply beautiful.

We started our trip in Germany, and visited three towns: Trier, Trittenheim, and Berlin (with a hour stop in teeny Saarburg). What I noticed about Germany immediately was how clean it was... reminded me of Disneyland, and the flowers-- they... Continue reading

We stayed at some great places: some old, some new. I'd say my favorite hotel was Hotel Victoria in Nuremberg... the entire space was newly designed inside of an old building. Their theme color is orange and you are greeted... Continue reading

Well, I knew it was either pack as light as possible or end up lugging lots of it around. My suitcase was stuffed, though, make no mistake! Here's the link to my camera insert, I LOVE this thing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005HEVVIY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I linked the luggage above with Denise, let me know if you'd like more info. I thought about doing a video, but just didn't have the time before I left or the energy when I got home.

Hi Denise, sure thing! It's this model: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AE0NTIG/ref=twister_B00AE0NLCU Here's what I love about it: -Soft material (nylon) so you have more room to stuff items, it feels like a duffle bag -The inside has a drawstring component, love this feature! -Buckles to snap the entire bag together and a handle on the side Best luggage I have ever traveled with hands down!

When it's all said and done I've saved (and backed up!!!) 762 photos. Seven-hundred-sixty-two. Maybe I went a little overboard? Granted some of those are b&w conversions, but still... let's just say there was so much to photograph ;) We... Continue reading

Your sparkler pics are awesome. I need to remember that for next year. I always mean to look up tips and forever... every year! Melted junior mints + popcorn actually sounds kind of yummy. I'm so glad you had a wonderful 4th!
