I love this whole list, especially that yummy pizza place that you got to share with me when I visited :) Your new robe sounds lovely, we all need a good one!

Darn typepad ate my comment! I wanted to say that I felt very much the same way when I traveled out of the country this summer. What a wonderful God we serve.

Yes! I felt somewhat the same when I visited Europe this summer. I kept thinking... "He loves EVERYONE and He knows each and every one of these places and people." What a wonderful God we serve :)

Amen!!! I love this SO much. Whenever I find myself in an ungrateful funk I imagine God looking at me and saying, "I so thought you would have loved x,y,z (something going well in my life)." For whatever reason that usually helps me re-align my mind. We can be happy in the toughest of circumstances and unhappy in the best ones. Gratitude and learning to be happy no matter what is the exercise of a lifetime and your kiddos are very lucky to have parents who are teaching them about this young!

I love it, Shannon! Happy belated birthday :) I am so glad your year has been filled with wonderful, joy-filled moments. Isn't it amazing when we glance and sweet all the good moments? And I'm sure you could have listed more. What a great, blessed life you lead!

Hi Sadie! I'm sorry I'm replying so late. Oops! I purchased my thinner chalk at the local Dick Blick art store. I think you can find them in sets there :)

Let's face it, I'm not the camping kind of girl. I do dream about an airstream trailer and visiting some of our national parks, but I'm much more comfortable with running water and sleeping under a roof ;) However, when... Continue reading

Almost 7 years ago I met Katie for the first time. She was my supvervisor at work and I grew to both admire and love her, and while our days working at a daycare are gone I'm so glad we've... Continue reading

I've known Alex since my days in Alpha Omicron Pi and she is just as lovely inside as she is out. When she asked me to take some portraits of her I said "yes!" We had hoped to capture these... Continue reading

Well, it's September. I'm always in shock when we hit this time of year, because I still feel like it should be July. The past few weeks have felt like a whirlwind to me. I'm so tired, in part because... Continue reading

I usually like to claim that I'm neither competitive nor a perfectionist. I didn't get a 4.0 in college and I'm not trying to lift the most at the gym. But, I actually am a perfectionist and I'm also (slightly)... Continue reading

What a lovely young woman she is :) That is such a tender, exciting, new time in life. I often look back on my first year of college with fondness. Your friends are very blessed to have you in their and their children's lives. I know I am grateful for the mom-like mentors in my life :) And yes, time is weird!
