Your words have almost left me speechless. I am one of those who was born and raised in the Independent Baptist Movement but have walked away for some of the reasons you have specified above. My prayer is that many still in the movement would once again become truly Christ centered, in their ministry, philosophy, and their lives. Christ, and Christ alone must be the center of all the we are and all that we do.
