There is a downside to rude behavior, and Biden's behavior was clearly disrespectful and rude. How anyone could fail to see the difference between a smug, silly, and condescending demeanor like Biden's,and calm, adult, and respectful behavior like Ryan's has clearly lost an understanding of what "civility" is about.

I have to laugh at BO's reluctance to say anything that reflects badly on Islam. I remember when Eric Holder was testifying before Congress and hemmed and hawed around describing the 13 soldiers murdered at Fort Hood; he absolutely refused to describe it as an act or terror despite the suspect having shouted Alahu Akbar while killing our soldiers.
