Sister Mary's appearance in Freak Show has to do with the connection to Pepper, who was a resident at the Asylum some ten years after the current chapter of AHS takes place. Continue reading

@Rose: Thanks for your thoughtful comment. I have a real problem with Cole using Alison as a cocaine mule in the time since (I'm assuming) their son died and she couldn't cope with nursing. I'm factoring that into his insensitivity. She is numb, doesn't care what happens to herself but he, _he_ is supposed to at least care enough about her, despite his pain, that he wouldn't risk her being imprisoned due to his family's financial mismanagement and lack of ethics. I cannot find it in my heart to conjure up any good will towards him. Though we've only seen a rough sex scene between them (on the car hood), the actress that portrays Alison believes that she is "terrified" of her husband. That too colours my feelings towards him.

Obviously, everyone has a part to play, a responsibility, but in "the affair" aspect of this story, I hold Noah as culpable as I do Cole, Alison's husband, who is utterly emotionally unavailable to her when she needs it most. Continue reading

Quinn's future with the CIA looks murky, both in his desire to work beyond this personal mission and his insubordinate behaviour. I hope he doesn't get killed but his character may have reached his tipping point, leading to the point of no return. Continue reading

Carrie, who here is answering to CIA Director Lockhart, appears to have sustained nary a scratch in what looked to be a potentially fatal attack (guessing those that were in the first car of the motorcade did not survive as they literally did not see it coming). Continue reading

We are not clued in when this memorial service takes place or for whom it is being held. But, notice who Alison is not sitting with? Her entire family! Continue reading

Thus far I've not been able to get ahold of the full episode descriptions for Helix season 2. When I have them, I'll post them. The sneak peeks and extended promos, posted previously, give you a pretty good feel for the mayhem commencing on Jan. 16 2015. Continue reading

Until recently, episode nine of American Horror Story: Freak Show was to be titled, "The Fat Lady Sings." The new title of episode 9 is "Tupperware Party Massacre," which I think would be a cool name for a band. Continue reading

Also, can someone please explain the presence of Hiroyuki Sanada (Hatake)? Helix Season 2 hasn't even started yet and I'm so (delightedly) confused! Continue reading

And what did just go down, in practical terms? How does Beth's death advance the plot or character development of The Walking Dead, going into season 5 part 2? Continue reading

If you recall, Helix season 1 specifically, Dr. Julia Walker's fate as not only the offspring of an immortal scientist working for the wrong side, but the ex-wife and lover of two brothers, one also working on the wrong side, was treated as as a cliffhanger with a tease at the end of Season 1. We are now five seasons into The Walking Dead TV series and we've yet to see a non-dead woman's face as badly injured as Beth's. This is part of the accelerated "Beth is strong" narrative... Continue reading
