I think its cause when they box out somebody else on your team usually gets the rebound, so essentially you do the dirty work by boxing out and then your teammate, like a sf, flys in and grabs it. I know we all think they sacrifice for the team, but KG isn't gonna wanna hear it from the fans/media that he only grabbed 4 boards. Plus KG has been used to out jumping people and using his long arms to rebound.(Led league 4 yrs in a row). I think its stat related until the big games when they really want to win so they will sacrifice.
