My friend, Dreya, recently recommended that I check out a spot called The Corner (Mission/ 18th). The place has a warm NYC diner feel with cool electro music and a very friendly wait staff. And I guess it is technically a "wine bar." Tried out a few things on the menu - and concluded that I like this place for its good, cheap, casual eats with friends. But for being a little bit of a trek from my neighborhood - I probably won't be back anytime soon. Unfortunately, the dinner menu doesn't seem to want to load on their website...

I got a new digital SLR camera and of course, I've been putting it to good use by taking pictures of my favorite thing besides clothing: FOOD! Went to Chaya Brasserie (Embarcadero/Mission) last night - it's my 4th visit to the one in SF - and I also went to the one in Venice during restaurant week last year. I absolutely love this place - it's pricey so I only get to dine here on special occassions. Chaya is Japanese & French fusion - and I did learn from the Japanese company I was with that Chaya actually means "Teahouse"...
