hey woody? maybe you were watching the jaguars and thought they were the dolphins. last year tannehiil completed a career-high 67.1 percent of his passes overall, and he improved his completion rate on passes thrown 21 to 30 yards in the air from 31.9 percent in 2015 to 45.5 percent in 2016. in addition he took the fewest amount of sacks last year, lost the least amount of fumbles, and he posted the highest yards per pass attempt in his career. repeat that as many times as you need to dummy.

i understand, and it definitely was an issue early one, but one he fixed. he still has issues; holding the ball too long, reading some coverages, etc but he has improved every year.

so that means you agree that tanny was one of the better long ball passers in the game last year? lol just curious..

oc, are you really posting a bad pass to mike wallace as evidence that tannehill isn't a good deep ball passer? why not look at the numbers from last year? ah.. i get it.. if you actually looked at the NUMBERS and not some video from 2013, you'd see tannehill was the 8th most accurate deep ball passer in the league. yeah. #8. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2715180-nfl-1000-ranking-the-most-accurate-passers

when i am talking dolphins, you rarely disagree with me, OC. as for cutler, look for parker and stills to catch a ton of deep balls this year. garoppolo is a free agent next year, so that might be a move to consider.

kaepernick is the better athlete, and his running would've fit rather nicely. cutler might be a better all around QB, but the fact he knows our system and knows gase makes the move a prudent one. cutler won't remind anyone of marino but like i wrote before, this might be the best team he's ever been on and i think he will do just fine. and shadow, not only am i a ludwig drums endorser, i have a sizable collection of vintage ones from the 40s, 50s, 60's and a blue vistalite from the 70's. not a premier or a slingerland to be found!

i get the cutler move; 5 weeks before the season starts, no nonsense veteran who knows the offense. it's a good move and i trust gase. kaepernick would be riskier with more upside, but i too trust gase and i am ok with it. the drop off from tannehill to cutler isn't as big as some here think and if everything goes right, we could still be looking at 8-10 wins with a playoff spot.

i am all with baby one this one. tannehill has problems throwing the long ball? did anyone other than baby watch the dolphins last year? his long ball accuracy was among the highest in the league. he isn't the same QB he was a few years ago and we can totally win with him, provided we have a strong D and a good running game. as for kap, woody you actually said what i think his motivating factor is: " I'm starting to think that with Gase and with all that has happened to him Kap may come in here more interested in playing football than doing all that other nonsense." PERIOD. he is 28, and this will be his last chance. what else do we have to lose? the team experts thought tannehill could avoid surgery and start this season. had he opted for surgery we wouldn't have had him until after thanksgiving. i understand the gamble and i do not fault the team, but it might not have worked. get him under the knife now, we'll have him at 100% for next year and we'll get through this year with a 28 year old athletic freak who took a team similar to ours to the super bowl and who definitely has something to prove.

oh i did look it up, and there is no debate, unless you are a cuban snowflake. kaepernick is hands down the best option available at QB. he is statistically better than jay cutler in every metric. he played on one of the worst teams in the league last year and that wasn't because of his 90 rating, or his TD's to interceptions ratio. i know it. everyone who follows the game knows it and most importantly, the dolphins know it too. and that will be why the dolphins will sign him before the end of the weekend, after announcing tannehill is out for the year to finally get that surgery. did he do some dumb shit last year? sure. it's football, and i don't give a shit. if he was a trump robot i'd be saying the same thing. all the snowflakes who have a problem with it can jump off the bandwagon at any time, too. adios!

not sure we're lucky, BB. there wasn't structural damage last year either; this knee is a ticking time bomb until he gets the surgery apparently.

woody you're a fucking moron. last season? 16 TDs, 4 picks, a passer rating of 90 and 2nd among all QB's with in rushing yards with a 6.8 per carry average. go swim back to cuba you moron; he would be perfect for this team.

for once baby is correct. of course, little woodpecker doesn't want kaepernick because of his politics, period. "one game in the last 4 years", huh? that's the way trump lies too; easily refutable and completely pathetically wrong. like i said, kaepernick would fit in with our offense and skill set pretty seamlessly, and he looked great against us last year. again, ours would be the best team he's had since going to the superbowl. i repeat: GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL.

and woody? nice authoritarian way of calling someone a communist just because they call your lies out and disagree with you. funny thing is, you wouldn't know a communist if one peed on you; 1st sign of them and your ass was swimming across the gulf straight to miami. how many did your raft hold? just curious..

of course they should sign kaepernick; his skill set is similar to tannehill's, he's been to a superbowl and he actually played pretty decent last year. of course some of you snowflakes here are to constitutionally weak to deal with his politics; i didn't agree with everything he did either but i couldn't care less. he has won before, and this team would be the best he's been on since going to the superbowl.

the cute, odumbjimbo, but obama never claimed he invented it; he always credited republicans who advocated it for years as a market based solution while democrats wanted a single payer system. is it perfect? no. but the fixes could be easy if republicans would stop lying about it and work with democrats. of course, red states could opt in to federal money for starters. they might as well since after 7 years they still don't have a solution, and they couldn't even get something passed with both houses, but that's to be expected. what happened to lyin ted's healthcare plan, big dumb ass? lol nice to hear from you, tom. of course i am still talking about the ACA; without it, millions like me would remain uninsured but by all means, rail against the government as you cash your social security checks and get medicaid, you dumb ass. no, not big dummy or anyone else will ever run me off this blog, and at the same time i have never advocated anyone being removed either. that's little baby's job; he loves crying to oc to get me off this page, and it's the perfect example of what a pussy he is because of it. no.. i have been in europe the past 2 and a half weeks on tour with an amazing band from new orleans and enjoying some of the finest cities in the world including madrid, barcelona and, my favorite, paris. it's reassuring to see how the rest of the planet is laughing their asses off at the unprecedented insanity and incompetence this administration is mired in. hey FZB, your scaramucci comment was great; my tour lasted longer than his tenure. he was a lying, big mouthed moronic douche bag and we all know, trump needs to be the only one of those. the shit show continues while you fools keep defending it. it will be wonderful to see at which point each of you zombies come to your senses; until then, have fun! no baby, that deal for irving would be awful for cleveland. they don't need a shoot 1st point guard shorter than you who can't defend. plus, irving picked 3 teams, and all 4 have solid ownership, management, coaching and are known for no nonsense or special treatment. miami and san antonio are on that list, while the shit celtics aren't. as for the knicks, it's a hometown thing but he will never play in boston. nice try though.

little baby? your celtics will take a minute to gel with their new additions ,while miami gets off to a hot start because we brought everyone back. fringe playoof team my ass. our center is better. our guard is better. our power forward is better. and our point guard is an all around better player. you still suck on defense and when you get to the playoffs, you won't be doing anything again. you ended up the 1 seed because of the cavs, NOT because of you. weakest 1 seed in the history of the NBA and had rondo not gone down, chicago would've beaten you. you won't get lucky again this year.

hey woody? stick to the ass trumpet you idiot; covered california is a model of how obamacare can work. "early reports that 2016 health insurance premiums would increase in double digits brought out the usual cadre of critics to claim — once again — that Obamacare is not financially sustainable. These proposed premiums were neither finalized nor did they reflect the full picture of rates in most states. We now have the full picture in California, where we are proving that health insurance exchanges can keep prices in check. Residents who enroll through Covered California, our statewide exchange, will see only modest 4% increases in 2016. Those selecting the lowest-priced plans actually will save 4.5%. These low premiums were made possible because California law gave Covered California the power to actively negotiate on behalf of its 1.3 million consumers. The board and staff of Covered California have used this authority. That's helping the Affordable Care Act work as intended — using market forces to hold down costs. So how exactly is California getting such good results? First, Covered California selects which plans can be sold through the exchange. This gives it leverage with the insurers, which want to reach this source of new customers. Those insurers then are able to negotiate better deals from hospitals and doctors. In contrast, the federal health insurance marketplace and other state exchanges take all comers and do not force insurers to improve plans to get their products onto the exchanges." http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-0728-lee-aca-insurance-prices-20150727-story.html toot toot..

ted isn't fixing anything and saying "obama screwed it up" is more partisan lying "go team" nonsense. the idea was republican. repeat that fact as many times as you need to. look no further than the last republican standard bearer nominee for president, IN YOUR STATE, to see how it works. look at kentucky, california.. there are many states where it works. does it need to be fixed? of course. cruz hates government so listening to that lying piece of shit talk about a federal program is like listening to you talk about hetero dating.. lol

no one needs lying ted to explain why a system his party supported for years suddenly cannot work. it can, and republicans argued it for years until obama decided to do it.

miami is a team; no superstars. this team gelled the 2nd half of the year, everyone played to their strengths and after the slew of early injuries, the players really took it to another level in playing off each other. they defended, they spaced and they hit 3 point shots. with winslow's elite defense coming back, the rookie who is a poor man's dwight howard (pre injury), with the improvement of the younger players too, along with some stretch 5 ball from olymick, miami will be a tough out in the playoffs.

the idea of an insurance mandate IS precisely to open up the market. for years democrats argued that the solution was universal care. republicans argued, (correctly), that such a system would be government healthcare. they argued that we have a market based insurance system and their argument was, expanding the pool of insured would lower the prices for everyone. obamacare made that happen only partially, and that's because republicans refused to work with it. my premiums haven't risen that drastically; in fact, premiums rise every year and always have but for states that opted in, premiums have risen at a slower rate.

if the celtics do not improve their defense, they'll be lucky to be a 2 seed. breezing through the regular season is one thing; possession play off basket ball is predicated on spacing and defense; 2 things the celtics aren't too good at. you'll be good, no doubt. but you ain't anywhere near a championship team and miami is right behind you.

the system did not "implode"; that's a lie republicans love to tell. especially in states that opted in to public money and medicaid expansion. eepublicans in 19 states have refused to expand medicaid, leaving millions uninsured. GOP led states put roadblocks in front of insurance enrollment counselors tasked with assisting people shopping for coverage. the Republican Congress cut funding for insurance companies that greatly contributed to their financial difficulties with the exchanges, and to the closure of many nonprofit “co-op” insurers created under the law. And republicans have led or championed a slew of legal challenges to the law, including two cases that went to the supreme court and a cost sharing lawsuit still causing uncertainty in the market. premiums in the middle DID increase, but not all, not even close. the system could be fixed if republicans really cared; after all, it was their idea but no.. lol
