keys to the season.. protecting the QB with a line that is uncertain. running the ball consistently and effectively. defending against the run. if we do those things everything else will take care of itself, PERIOD.

boy did we dodge a catastrophic bullet. my father and his girlfriend managed to get out of miami on one of the last flights to los angeles as they have a place in santa monica, while mom stayed put in sunrise lakes. i feel bad for cuba, the keys and the west coast of florida, but i am grateful miami was spared the worst of it. season opener for miami will be here, though work will force me to miss it unfortunately. i am hoping for 9-6. hope those affected are safe

the good news is mueller is getting close and trump is getting nervous. it's partially why he pardoned that racist piece of shit arpaio; every single time the investigation gains more ground he tries to shore up the base some more, and it's hysterical to watch. once tax reform dies, that's finally when house and senate republicans begin separating themselves from this joke of a presidency. none of them want this shit show hanging over them during the midterms, and another 4-7 months is all mueller will need to end this once and for all. can't wait for trump to see the ratings for THAT news cycle..

shadow, the citizens of arizona grew tired of that racist old fuck arpaio which is why they voted him out on his ass. i hope he dies of a heart attack in the summer heat. his policies were completely unamerican and run against everything this country stands for, especially the 4th amendment.

"undermined by obummer"? you really are the dubest moron on this page. obama had nothing to do with what happened to arpaio. he was racially profiling people, holding CITIZENS without due process and he ignored a judges order to stop. he is a racist piece of shit, like you, and trump had no business abusing the power of the pardon. what trump did was unprecedented.. pardons usually happen after the legal system takes it's course, after the offender admits his wrongdoing and they usually happen at the end of an administration. trump followed none of the protocols associated with pardons and it's one more in a line of garbage this piece of shit does to simply shore up the base. of course you'd like it.. lol

not at all. his tweet was " no. not happening. that is all. move on." he was obviously getting inundated with questions about it and it is a ridiculous rumor to begin with. why trade the guy when you can franchise him, see how the year plays out and see how the other guys develop? we get it. you don't like the guy which is strange as he's right up your alley; politically a cuban republican, (no doubt trump sucking), hypocrite like your pals here but professionally he has covered the team for his hometown paper for 28 seasons. journalists like that build access and relationships with teams they've covered that long. this is undeniable. maybe if you read him more you wouldn't be so wrong all of the time but hey, it gives us more fodder to blast your ridiculous predictions and posts.. lol

fact is parker has been BALLING out all summer. if he takes the next step he will be paid like a number one, not landry. dolphins are wisely waiting to see how the season plays out. it's definitely a quality problem. as i wrote last week, i am nt concerned with the offense; the drop off from tannehill to cutler is not huge, yet both guys have different skill sets. what we'll lose with tannehill's mobility we'll gain with plays likes we saw the other day to parker. tannehill didn't take too many chances throwing seep into coverage but cutler loves to. should be an exciting year offensively. but to me if this team improves on last year it's all about the defense, PERIOD.

"snarly and usually wrong" would be you, dummy. armando is usually spot on actually, and none of the other beat writers have reported this landry thing so there you go. and don't forget little guy, there's no dynasty without a D. you'll be hearing that all year, so fucking get used to it.. lol

so celtics fanboy #1, bill simmons, is now a windbag too? you're a pathetic little homer, big douche bag. offense wasn't your problem last year during the season, though you lost it after IT went down. you aren't one dimensional anymore, but you still suck on defense and with rebounding which will prevent you from getting any further than you have. you can obfuscate that with your fingers in your ear screaming "naaa naaa naaa" as much as you want; your celtics aren't doing anything.

as for cutler, he's got a better team here than he's had in a long time, but my fear is shadow is right. there's a reason he wore out his welcome in chicago, and he does make bone headed plays at the worst time. i am hoping he stays motivated and feels like he has another chance with something to prove.. still worried about the defense, though. all the hating on jordan philips here, but he had a nice play yesterday. we need him to play well this year.

looks like celtic lover bill simmons has questions about this trade too. you have a better chance at winning the eastern conference finals? anyone has a better chance than the shit show you put up last year. your interior defense sucks. so does your rebounding. you'll have a nice season and come playoff time you're done. similar to last year. good but not great and you'll be OK because that basically describes the last 30 years. lol.. the cletics.. hahahahahahahahaha https://twitter.com/BillSimmons

wilbon makes sense most of the time, but bayless has been a lebron hater ever since he left cleveland; i don't listen to a word that blowhard says. he hates lebron, hates miami and talks out of his ass most of the time. steven A owned his ass every time. the point is this: there are certain trades and moves where one team is a clear winner; kareem to LA, shaq to LA or miami, etc and there are others that aren't so cut and dry. this trade isn't that. there is no way in hell anyone can argue boston, who took steps back defensively and who lost 4 starters is better than the cavs, got barely weaker at point guard but added a great defensive player. the arguement to pose is does this set boston up to be better than the cavs in the future? the answer could be yes but even then, more things can happen that might prevent that. finally, the elephant in the room is you are trying to make the arguable case that boston is better than cleveland. even if i grant you that, you're trying to get better than a team that got their asses handed to them by the warriors. boston has a team, like last year, that will win games during the season but again, your interior and perimeter defense will be exposed at times during the season and nightly in the playoffs by teams with interior strength; coincidentally miami's strength. in short, you have a nice little team that will be exposed in the playoffs when it counts.

There it is. Many in the media disagree and think Boston has now passed Cleveland. We will see. To say this in such certain terms dave only speaks to your jealousy and the reality that Boston is light years ahead of Miami. Posted by: Big Baby | 08/23/2017 at 11:06 AM too bad the BOSTON MEDIA doesn't agree, you dip shit.. lol http://boston.cbslocal.com/2017/08/23/kyrie-irving-celtics-cavaliers-trade-isaiah-thomas-nba/

i already told you how it's going to play out. you're not doing shit this year. the east is cleveland's to lose. still. they got better. you didn't. your point guard position improved a little and so did your small forward position. your offense did improve but in losing bradley and crowder and even olynick you got even worse on defense. you were already in the bottom 1/3 in the league in defensive efficiency. next year? who knows? you ain't head and shoulders above everyone in the east and miami is still a factor, as are the other teams; all of us are a move or 2 away but as long as the cavs are together you aren't doing shit. and since ainge was dumb enough to give up a #1 next year just to improve the best position on your team, you still have catching up to do. you still don't get it; defense wins championships.
