whoops.. not sure how that happened. any way, i am hearing rumblings about miami being very interested in the services of blake griffin. not sure how i feel about that one. we do need some more talent; i am just not sure where. james johnson is a poor man's lebron; plays multiple positions but is primarily a 4, handles and distributes the ball well and defends like a monster. in a perfect world we'd keep him and add hayward but that might not be a possibility, apparently so if we cannot improve the wing, griffin is an improvement over johnson, as good as james is. things are going to get interesting very soon.

can't wait to see this kid ball play; laker fans should be very happy about the moves magic has made this far. apparently he wants to take ball under his wing and develop him; that's some serious tutelage right there.. and FZB.. i am hearing rumblings about b

oc, my vote would be the "double A side" of strawberry fields forever and penny lane, arguably the greatest pair of rock singles ever released.

Just stating a fact. Boston didn't suck dummy they fleeced Brooklyn and traded down. Don't start wilting like a pansy that's been in the sun too long. Posted by: Big Baby | 06/23/2017 at 02:58 PM excuse me? you team sucked for many years which is how you stockpiled all of those picks. i'm not talking about the extra pick THIS year. as for whining, that would be the little bitch who has seem ONE RING in 30 years. the same little bitch crying about the warriors instead of figuring out how to stop them. spare us baby. when we want to hear from carpet bagging weaklings who cry when better teams win, then we'll ask for your opinion.. lol

FZB, i hope you are as excited about the d league prospects we lined up yesterday as i am. much the same way we lead the way to small positionless basketball, we're also showing the rest of the league how to utilize the d league; with the right scouting team, it's a goldmine for great talent at rookie type salaries. whiteside, mcgruder, tyler johnson, white and others have come from the D league and it's an amazing way to mitigate a dearth of draft picks.

miami doesn't need that type of "draft capital"; in fact, miami has never had that type of "draft capital" in over 20 years. we don't suck as much as boston did to get all those picks. this was, (i think), our 3rd lottery pick in 20 years. and i agree with ainge actually. when i heard that asking price i thought it was ridiculous, to be honest. TWO first rounders AND jae crowder, a solid multi positional defender with a good shot? fuck that.. lol

FZB.. apparently he's a freakish athlete who can defend multiple positions and is a great shot blocker. i'm not versed in the college game either, but this pick has the blessing of riley AND john calipari. riley has deep kentucky roots and those 2 guys i trust implicitly. he gives us even more power in the paint, and if we lose willie reed, (which is looking like more of a possibility), he can play the 5 as well. and yes.. on to free agency. if i am a laker fan i am excited right now; magic johnson, of all people, decided ball was the point guard of the future and that is quite an endorsement. with mosgov's money gone, i would make that move for paul george immediately; if you wait, anything can happen.

the cavs want carmelo??! hahahahahahaha that's the last thing they need. perimeter defense, speed and interior defense is the only way to challenge the warriors. blake griffin is an interesting proposition, but the cavs are screwed. couldn't happen to a better owner too. like i said, if teams like miami, boston, washington or toronto make the right moves, they're right in the mix for the eastern conference. we'll see who the smart GM's are very soon..

spare me the excuses. cleveland isn't miles ahead of any team in the east; even YOURS if you retarded GM gets some defensive help and inside help. miami will challenge cleveland next year; bosh's money is finally off the books and we finished the 2nd half better than every team in the league instead of the warriors. yes, the warriors have "all stars". they have a great team and a great coach. they do not have more talent than the celtics had with their big 3 or miami had with theirs. the warriors are playing perfect basketball and they've maximized the talent they have, PERIOD, much the way san antonio did the year they beat us.

of course you weren't a celtics fan, you carpet bagging little queen. back then you liked the raiders and the lakers. you have no core and no identity; when you come out of the closet then maybe you will. how the warriors got their players only underscores how horrible the celtics are; it doesn't quantify whether they're all stars or not. so again dumb ass, you're telling everyone here that a team with only 2 hall of fame players is a "stacked" team of "all stars"? you can dance, cry, whine and moan, but no one here agrees with you. TWO HALL OF FAMERS. the heat's championship team had more all stars. so did the spurs. so did your celtics several years ago. the warriors have 2. stop crying. only the celtics and other overrated one dimensional teams are giving up until 2020. real teams are adjusting, looking to defend the paint and the perimeter and stop golden state. enjoy the fact you lucked into the conference finals while embarrassingly exposing yourselves as the worst #2 in the east team in the history of professional basketball. what an ugly egg boston laid; just a pathetic embarrassment. you got hammered, shamed, ridiculed and schooled by another overrated team.. lol we'll show you next year how it's done, sweetie.

leave it to a butt hurt celtics child to cry about the warriors signing durant. no heat fan is whining that bullshit; we know the game and we know how free agency is played. instead of crying like the little bitch you are, figure our how to get some perimeter defenders and a shot blocking post presence in the paint and figure out how to beat the warriors. that's what we're doing in miami. take a cue from a real team that knows how to win and doesn't have to look back to the 80's to when they were a consistent winning team. sad!

again dumb ass, they aren't a stacked all star team. their core was drafted, idiot. they signed an all star in durant, not doubt; so did you with thomas. and a few years ago you signed TWO all stars so clean that nasty pussy of yours and stop whining. it's not a good look complaining about signing a player when you idiots in boston signed more than they did.

the core of the warriors were homegrown draft picks; of course, they were building that team when you started getting all of YOUR picks which is another reason why you are butt hurt. jerry west, who owned your shit celtics when he was with the lakers STILL owns your dumb asses because the warriors were drafting draymond green while you morons took jared sullinger.. hahahahahahaha how did lester hudson, luke harangody and all those other great picks work out? you team sucks. you cannot draft to save your life which is why i wasn't worried when you got the pick again this year. take ball, take whoever you want. it doesn't matter. you're under coached, you cannot play defense and your only player is a shoot first point guard who couldn't stay healthy in the playoffs; maybe because he shot the ball too much in the regular season.. lol you aren't winning the east before miami does AGAIN, and there's nothing you can do about it.

ALL HALL OF FAMERS. the only one butt hurt here is your dumb ass who's still only got one ring in 30 (going on 35) years.

the cavs are and will always be a paper tiger; they're like the celtics in a way, but better and with better players. their offense goes through one guy usually, they are suspect on defense and their bench is filled with shooters who cannot defend. it's great to see how they failed; all that money spent and luxury tax issues and they barely won ONE GAME. they spent all that money getting shooters thinking they'd outshoot the warriors when all they needed to do was get defenders. it's why i kept saying miami would've given the east AND the cavs problems in the playoffs. our defense is as good as ANY in the league and it will be next year too. if your team is in the east these finals were an absolute enjoyment. there is still hope for all the top teams in the east because cleveland is an overrated no defense crap team that can win in the regular season period. if you are in the east, you can take these motherfuckers way easier than you can catch up to golden state. unless you are the celtics which means your defense won't be anything to talk about and you'll get bounced out of the playoffs again. washington will be better next year with a stronger bench and miami will be as well. fuck cleveland. fuck those pansy overrated celtics too. on to football and the NBA offseason where reports are miami is a serious player for gordon hayward. whiteside johnson (who would have helped the cavs) hayward waiters (or johnson or richrdson) dragic THAT team is better than almost any in the east, definitely better than the shit celtics), and would give the cavs serious problems. in riley we trust! in ainge we laugh!

FZB.. revolver was the apex of their change but rubber soul to me was actually the beginning of their change. introspective lyrics, the addition of outside instruments like the sitar and movement towards other styles of music. they were an incredible and influential band to be sure.

lucky to get durant? spare me. you can call the warriors a super team all you want; as far as i can tell, they have 2 legitimate hall of fame players right now, durant and curry. they aren't a stacked all star team like the celtics with their big three or the heat were with ours. they are a mixture of the spurs and those teams. they aren't playing iso ball; they are spacing, moving and shooting better than anyone in the league and had they been healthy last year they would have won then too.

been traveling a ton, playing with ivan neville while he sorts his drummer issues out.. lol i will be going to europe with him and his band dumpstaphunk; if any of you want to hear some real new orleans shit i'd suggest looking them up on youtube. insane band with legendary musicians and i'm honored to be a part of it. had a couple of almosts at the end of spring; the lindsey buckingham/christine mcvie tour and the boz scaggs gig, and both fell through. grateful to have found a killer gig with guys a know, respect and love. been super busy, and it's the slow time of the year so not much to talk about. warriors reminded everyone how lucky the cavs were last year when they faced a hobbled curry, a game without draymond green and an out of commission starting center. the warriors were healthy and the cavs were lucky to win one game; warriors in 5 like i said, just a year later. shadow, as a huge beatles fan and student of their story and music, pepper, while containing some classics and some amazing songs, has slowly worked it's way to the back of my list of influential and timeless beatles records. i always put revolver at #1 followed by rubber soul, the white album and beatles for sale; all records that not only shaped the band's trajectory but also the trajectory of pop music in general. pepper to me was always a postcard of the times with a ton of paul, too little john and george, and more a portrait of the times. listening to the reissue has completely blown my mind though, and changed my perspective a bit, and i've fallen in love with it all over again. giles martin did a masterful job remixing the record for stereo. as you know, (or maybe some of you don't), stereo was a relatively new concept that wasn't really taken seriously until later. today bands supervise the mixing of records they make and because mono was what was widely used at the time, the mono mixes were the only ones done with the imput of the 4 beatles. stereo mixes for american releases were actually done by employees of the label with zero input from the band! what giles martin did was remix the record from 1st generation tapes to the exact mono specifications the beatles had with the mono mixes. the result? a clear, full and roomy stereo mix of a record i know intimately and it's perfection. there are subtle things you hear clearer now that you didn't before, and the harmonies are incredible. he included the amazing pre pepper single too, strawberry fields forever and penny lane, along with outtakes of them in the studio tracking the various songs that would be on pepper. just an amazing aural experience.

shadow the food was amazing. some incredible cuisine in tel aviv as well; amazing turkish food and other delights. not the biggest dead fan, but i loved jerry's guitar playing. as for their records, workingman's dead, blues for allah and terrapin station are my faves. my serious musician dead fans claim their best live work was pre 77 i believe, which makes sense. i never saw them, but my sister did; in the 80's and 90's and she loved them. i'd suspect it would be similar to seeing the stones in 72 or 95. a band's peak is their peak..

dave says it's all Rondos fault lol. Like a guy who shows up once a year makes the difference in the series. If Chicago was banking on the tripping fool Rondo then they desreve to lose. Posted by: Big Baby | 04/24/2017 at 04:28 PM here we go again, as reagan used to say.. the playoffs are a different animal than the regular season. considering boston's atrocious and embarrassing playoff record the last few years, it's no wonder that would confuse you. if you are attempting to argue that a a flawed team like chicago isn't adversely effected by losing rajon rondo, you are a bigger idiot than advertised. maybe next round john wall gets injured, the kyrie.. there's hope for boston yet, huh? lol

FZB I didn't mean to imply I knew more about football than others here (just dave). I was talking about the various so called media experts. Posted by: Big Baby | 04/25/2017 at 07:55 PM the fact woody, FZB, jimbo and myself are constantly in agreement about this team makes you the odd woman out, bb. in fact, to further prove you don't know shit about football, let's look at your dumb ass post prior to this one: wow FZ Omar proves he's really a moron. Mcshay too. What are they going to do run a double tight end set with three all star WR's and a top 5 rb? Not happening Gase wouldn't let it. Posted by: Big Baby | 04/25/2017 at 01:45 PM yes, you infant. they would run a double tight end set because, as anyone who knows the game understands, multi tight end sets are used these days in every possible situation. with our receivers and even with ajayi, running a double tight end set makes it even harder to defend us, as the extra tight end might be blocking from the line, from the fullback position, they're running deep routes or doing other things to open the offense to other skill players. i've been telling you for years, learn the fucking game as you're boring the rest of us.

not at all woody.. even though he spent all year telling us how great the celtics are, how they're a boogie cousins away from challenging the cavs, etc, we all know the truth. he tried dialing it back a bit after they went down 0-2 but it's a nonstory. fact is with rondo out, boston could find a way back in this series. that would be great for baby, as his team hasn't been out of the 1st round in years but it won't matter. the celtics aren't good enough to win in the playoffs; they don't have that miami defense or play making ability. why would i rag on baby? the celtics are doing exactly what i said they would all year. the REAL story would be if they made it out of the 1st round, but it looks like an injury might make that happen.. lol

no, they haven't turned it around "a lot". again, going from bad to good, ESPECIALLY the east, isn't "a lot". 2 playoff wins in 4 years again, IN THE EAST, is not "a lot". winslow is an elite defender, on par with the best in the league. what's still being figured out is the rest of his game. he was a "one and done" guy from duke who JUST turned 21. his game is far from complete and his development far from finished. as riley himself said yesterday: "I took a look at a lot of those guys, like Justise, who came in as one-and-done guys, and 20-years-old when he came here. He just turned 21 the other day," Riley said. "And I think Kawhi [Leonard] averaged eight points a game his first year. Six years later he's averaging 25. We're measuring these guys after like 75 games. And I think that's unfair. And I wish you would get off his 3-point shooting, because he's so much more than that. "Give him a chance, man. But he ain't going anywhere."
