I think many, if not most, folks here are missing the fundamental point of the higher resolution display:
Couple this with a stylus, and you bet we're in a whole new world of computing.
Current displays are not close enough to paper-resolution to make it good for anything other than sticky-notes. But the iPad 3... and similarly-spec'd devices... and I think we're on to something.
