Defending another person whom you believe to be in serious danger may give you the same rights as the person being attacked- the right to defend that person. This article never mentioned Mr Gonzolas' criminal history. If Mr Gonzolas was a felon, I agree he shouldn't have had a gun, but you make it sound as if that excuses the marshall (your friend/coworker?) for his actions. If you are a supporter of the marshall then you will have a hard time winning sypathy here. I hope (but doubt) he gets sent away for a long time.

Doesn't make much of a difference at all. Same result. Seems pretty strightforward as long as forenscics back up the story- "...Boldware stopped his car, stepped out and walked up to Mah's car...". If the science is there you can' t blame the officer in this one.

In the scope of this tragedy, I realize what I am about to say is a very small thing, but I want you to know after reading your posts I have re-dedicated myself to being closer to my own mother who lives back east. Seeing how quickly somebody who was loved by so many can be taken away has been valuable for me. I guess I had been taking her for granted. I understand tomorrow isn't promised to anybody but we all think it'll be 'somebody else' or somebody else's family. I have called her immeduiately after reading many of your posts and told her how much I love her and how much she means to me, no matter what we have been through. I had put off having these conversations because i assumed there woud always be time later on. I was wrong. I am so very sad for you, but know that your love for her has blossomed in part through this blog and in my family has led to positive things. I am probably not alone. If possible, please keep us up to date on the trial and I hope you realize how many people are thinking of you. Be strong and may justice be served.

This is a terrible crime, and my condolences to friends and family. Kathy, I think I remember an early report from investigators saying that she may have been moved to where she was found after she was murdered. This might explain why nothing was heard by people in the neighborhood. She called in sick to work that day, which was unusual, leading police to think she may have known her attacker. Of course, that attacker might have forced her to make the call. Somebody out there has info that can solve this case. Please come forward. This young lady did not deserve this.
