I was surprised by the SNL Wiig skit because Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg's contracts are also up. I guess she made a definite decision while the others wait and see if NBC will pony up some money. As for the other SNL cast members, a lot of former SNLers have talked about having to fight for screen time since the writers have most of the power now. (Hey, some writers have talked about how it took them half a year just to get one of their skits on the air!) I don't think the writers know what to do with Jay Pharoah or how to write black characters at all. And it takes newer members years until the writers start writing skits just for them. With Kristen leaving, it may open the door for the other female cast members. If Jason and/or Adam leave, that will really shake things up. We'll see.
