I know how hard it is to lose a pet, having lost my cat of 21 years this past December. My thoughts are with you. Believe me, I understand. It hurts and words don't really help.
through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes
My dog Ferris, who was rescued from a bus stop in Monrovia by my wife Anne almost exactly 8 years ago, had a heart attack and died this morning. It happened very quickly, and I was with her, which is supposed to make me feel better, but at this moment all I can feel is nearly-unbearable sorrow, ...
You know, being a Narc sucks. But if you ask (NICELY) and the asshole in question doesn't respond, alert security. At least in my local arena they'll do something. I've rarely had your experience at concerts, but at movies ALL the time. I hate mobile phones and fully support execution of any person using them during any movie or concert.
bring on the night . . . and the assholes
Anne and I took Ryan to see Elvis Costello and The Police at the Hollywood Bowl last night. We bought our tickets months ago, and got the best seats we could afford. We took the shuttle from the Zoo to the Bowl, and were in our seats about ten minutes before Elvis and The Impostors took to the s...

Someone's swiped poor old Wil's photo -- but it still made me laugh.

did i mention that i'll be in seattle this weekend?
Wil Wheaton's Geek Tour 2008 rolls into Seattle this weekend for the Emerald City ComiCon! From my original announcement: I am so excited to announce that I'll be going to Seattle next month for the Emerald City ComiCon! This is an awesome show, with a focus fucos on indie books and publishers. ...

I added some tags today because I had to look at the photos anyway.

happy birthday, nolan!
Nolan is 16 today. Our plans include goofing off at the beach, followed by an awesome dinner with a few friends, and lots of Guitar Hero later tonight. It's his first birthday without his big brother around, which is probably harder on me than it is on him, but I think we're all going to have a...

About time you came to. Wait until people start commenting on the music. I made a post in my blog about Pink Floyd vs Led Zeppelin and it generated nearly 10,000 hits so far and 150+ comments and counting. I'm going to like to your post here from there.
Your post is a great example of why Floyd is so good: it speaks to you. You FEEL the music.
My blog post:

(In which I never claim Zeppelin sucks, btw. The title was a troll.)
the sun is eclipsed by the moon
The first time I heard Pink Floyd, I actually thought it was Rick Dees. My mom was driving me to work on a movie of the week, or a commercial, or some other acting job, and I was excited -- as always -- to stop at McDonald's for ultra-processed breakfast "food" while all my friends were in schoo...

I definitely know what he means. There is a truly subtle balance in the 'fridge and it must be maintained at ALL costs.
everything you need to know about teenagers
This morning, Nolan walked from the nearly-empty fridge to the nearly-empty pantry. "We don't have any food," he said. "I know," I said. "I didn't have time to get to the store over the weekend. I'll go today while you're at school." Just now, Nolan walked from a jam-packed fridge to the jam-p...

Well, just ask someone to make the changes you want. That avoids the tricky situation. Hell, send it to me and I'll do it for you.
However, as a previous poster said, correcting your own entry to remove clearly erroneous data is definitely okay. The problem becomes when people remove something truthful just because they don't like it.
And sadly, wiki-spam still exists. That's why you want someone reputable to make your changes.
building towered foresight isn't anything at all
I was doing some research for Games of our Lives at Wikipedia, and I took a look at my entry while I was there. I'm glad that the days of idiot vandalism are over, but I also see that the information there is incredibly incomplete, and there's a completely incorrect assertion about my relationsh...
