Federal Judges are compensated quite well, why do they want even more money? Why don't they try to help out the other federal employees that aren't compensated near what they are worth for the level of responsibility and work performed. I'm a DoD cop, I put on a bullet proof vest and duty belt each day, and everyday I work I am prepared to do what is neccassary to keep the base and its people safe and secure... including giving my life. Secretaries in air conditioned offices make more than I do. Now we have a 2 or 3 year freeze on our pay?! We are the lowest paid and respected police officers in federal service. If the judges want to do something worthwhile, sue for better treatment and pay of DoD police officers. We would really appreciate someone finally standing up for us!
