''That guy'' was Michael Giacchino. I wish he would have been nominated for his Star Trek score, but any win for him is great, he undoubtedly deserves it. He is right, surrounding yourself with support is such a great motivator. Please know that even though it's a tough business, there are people out there who wish you well! :)

I'm so incredibly proud! The makeup department obviously worked ridiculously hard to produce the best effects possible, so I'm glad it was all worth it. Having a call time 2 hours earlier than anyone else must have been a real bitch, though! I do hope Sci-Fi films will get more recognition in the future other than in special effects and makeup and such. Not gonna lie, I'm a little bit pleased that Cameron didn't steal everything (and elated a female FINALLY got Best Director), but I was sort of hoping Avatar or even (preferably) District 9 would make people re-evaluate their opinions on science fiction.
