Cathy, this is my very favorite page of yours - and I have loved it since the day I first saw it in your book many years ago. The first time, it made my heart catch in my throat, and brought tears to my eyes. The second time, it made my heart catch in my throat and brought tears to my eyes...And so it is, EVERYtime I read this story, I am moved beyond words. This has served as the "golden standard" in my world for what good scrapbooking is all about. If I can touch the heart of the story (as you surely did here) - then I have done something right. Thanks so much for sharing this story, this example, this heart.

Hi, Char - love your side by side comparison. I have a Nikon D70 and I have to monkey around with nearly every image, using PhotoShop Elements. I most frequently have to adjust Levels, and Brightness/Contrast. I've heard others discuss the need to do this with Nikon DSLR's. I keep meaning to take a photography class as I think it would be helpful on so many levels. Good luck with your new toy. PS - cute cards, too :)

Beautiful, Char. The focal image really jumps out and grabs when, tilted that way! Great use of the colors and bold elements!

Love these, Char. Both so striking in their own way. Love the color blocking on #2, and the snowflake in the heart pattern on #1. Just gorgeous. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Loved your "tag bags" so much, Dawn, that I just had to make some with the Christmas supplies I had laying around. Thanks for the inspiration! http://debrymer.typepad.com/my_muse/2009/12/tag-bags.html

Your "pumpkin" card is just adorable, Char - love it!! Love the big ribbon, button, stitching, cute sentiment - pretty much everything about it. Sorry I can't help you on your Typepad dilemma. I usually L or R align my images - and so this has been working the same for me. Good luck on finding a solution - I know how frustrating it can be when technology doesn't work the way you want!
